I just arrived in the US last Friday, my process was so fast. The only question the officer asked was whether my partner traveled with me. 

Sorry to resurrect a post that's been inactive for a while, but just thought I'd update in case anyone else is scrolling through looking for answers...
 
We ended up scheduling an appointment with our field office almost a year ago (when I originally posted looking for advice) and spoke to someone in person who pulled up our case in the system and told us that we didn't need to do anything. The key was, when we went in we had been married for more than 2 years, so the officer told us that seeing as we would qualify for the 10-year card at that point they would not require us to get a new card or go through the removal of conditions process. We figure it's more hassle/potential expense in wages for them than it's worth to get us to go back and file for a corrected green card and then removal of conditions that then have to be processed, despite the fact that we also didn't have to pay the $600 fee for removal of conditions.
 
So, my advice is, if you notice that you have mistakenly gotten a 10-year card and you feel that you need to speak to someone official to make sure you'll be alright, wait until you're past the point that you would qualify for the 10-year card as they're unlikely to make you change it at that point. We just filed my husband's N400 online on 04/17/2018 and have already received NOA and the biometrics appointment (though we can't see the biometrics date/time yet), so hopefully it all goes smoothly!

Yeah, you should call them to make sure they have your new address. They mailed my green card to our old address too, I wouldn't have known if my ex-housemates didn't contact me. 

I guess every case is different because my Fiancée was approved this morning and her English is pretty bad.  Her appointment was at 8:15 and she was finished by 9:30.

The OP has received the realistic answers that this forum can provide.  This, combined with the illegal actions that the OP contemplates, is causing the closure of this thread to further comment.  Do not restart this thread or refer to it elsewhere.

Hello it took them about a week to update for me. 

Hey everyone,
I received my combo card today (eh, yesterday; checked my mail today). It's the old design.  
However in place of the signature, it says "Signature Waived". Is this normal? I distinctly remember signing at the biometrics appointment as well as on my application. I have an awfully long signature, in case that could be the reason.

Everybody, if your EAD application has been pending for a long time and you need it urgently, go talk to the local office of your congressman/woman. It doesn't hurt to ask and they might be able to help! 

Woohoo! I just had an update that my AOS case is ready to be scheduled for an interview 

Got the interview appointment letter today. Stated a bunch of documents I need to bring. I forgot to take a copy of my original application. I'll have to try to remember everything I sent to the USCIS so I can bring the originals to the interview.

Our Case just updated to "Case to ready to be scheduled for an interview"  

Mini update: After not receiving an email on the completion of my service request and expecting a letter this week.... I checked my status this morning and my case status has changed to;
 
"New Card Is Being Produced"

I have just received two I-797 approval notices, for the I-131 and I-765 (6-16)
 
On the USCIS web site, my expediting request (which was made for the I-765 only) is now "complete". The status of the case itself has not changed from "your card was mailed".
 
The I-131 case has not changed. It still says "received", same as it has since March 22, in spite of the I-797 I'm now holding.
 
Per the USPS site, the EAD will be delivered tomorrow (Saturday).

My wife and I filed for my AOS on March 20th. The online case status for the EAD now says that the card is being produced (June 15th)!
Now waiting for it to be mailed! 

You can put in for an expedite as soon as you've completed your biometrics. And i was informed I could not do an SR for expedite until 5 days after it was last touched (so I put in 4 requests within the space of 1 month). As of today, my EAD is being produced as a result of my expedite request and I mailed my packet in May 11.

They usually take up to 7 days from arrival day to process the docs.
so don't worry.

I faxed my documents for my EAD expedite request two days ago, does anyone know how I can check if they have received it? Do I call the USCIS number again? I haven't heard anything from them yet. 

You need income of three times the poverty guidelines or a joint sponsor. It's a waste of money to file your petition and apply for visa without having the income or the joint sponsor.

Received my biometrics appointment last week. I'm scheduled for 15 May in Brooklyn, NY.

I sent my rfe response the other day i went overboard and added few more documents/evidence, also did the biometric appointment today was very fast 

People who applied in Feb this year haven't received their ead yet. That means ead processing is over 90 days. I see people saying that processing times are picking up... I would probably wait a few weeks then request an expedite.
