RaptureSongbird got a reaction from Me and her in February I-129 Filers #2
I've been having a lot of "oh wow, this is really happening" moments over the last week.  I did a massive apartment clean and purge last weekend to make space in my closet, dresser, and desk for my fiance, did some shopping for items for him, and my fiance and I have had many conversations lately where we've both said things that clicked it's really happening (i.e. "when I'm your husband...", "when I leave here I need to leave this for my mom", "before you leave make sure you...", etc.).  When we come back on the 26th it will be exactly 8 months since I finalized the paperwork, did my final check, and got ready to start the journey by getting everything ready to send off via UPS to the Texas lockbox.  When I look back at the time now, I realize how it went both quickly and slowly at the same time somehow and it's a little surreal that in 23 days we'll be on a plane back to the states together.

Just dropping in to see how everyone is doing and to provide a quick update! I hope everyone is moving forward smoothly. I’ve been very busy with work, post marriage AOS stuff, kids, medical issues etc, so not been on here as much as I would have liked.

Being married to her is more wonderful than I ever imagined. We are a bit broke at the moment. The post medical expenses for missing shots, AOS and airfare has wiped us out 😁.

We took full advantage of ETSA in 2016 and earlier this year, her staying 6 months (3 months each visit) so it’s getting close to the time that she would normally have to leave. Its exciting knowing that she doesn’t have to leave this time.

Back to work for me. Best wishes for everyone.

Wow, that must have been hard separating after living together for so long.  I'm glad that the two of you will be together soon!  And I agree, 100%, if this is a dream, I never want to wake up from this one.

Same for us! We lived together in her country for almost seven years, and it about killed me to leave her to start getting us set up in the USA in January. Her moving up here, and us living together (married!) always seemed so far away. But here we are, planning our November wedding and getting our little apartment sorted out for her arrival. It's darn surreal! If it's a dream, never wake me!

Bonjour everyone. Well my Mum and I made it to Montreal yesterday. Our small bachelor Airbnb is well ok. It is a lot like camping cept you have a bed and a bathroom lol. The view from the downtown 11th floor balcony is awesome. My medical is in just over an hour. Eating breakfast and then Mum and I will go navigate the subway. I will let you all know how it goes.

He doesn't have to go back to his native country. You'll be asked on the petition in which Embassy you want to have your visa processed, and actually there's lots of people on that situation due to work or personal reasons, so it's a normal thing.
    Good luck!

    Hey Guys,

I've been a little quiet since i had my medical in London last Thursday. They needed more information regarding my depression back in 2012 and my heart murmur. I have been a nervous wreck since Thursday literally had my heart in my stomach. I had a doctors appointment today to get the information London needed and i can say i walked out a whole new woman, the weight that was lifted of my shoulders was unreal. It turns out a doctor had made an error writing down my diagnosis putting it as a heart murmur when in actual fact its a arrhythmia, very common and nothing to worry about. I also got the magic words put on the email 'she is not a danger to herself or anyone else'. I'm waiting for a phone call from my doctors to let me know they have sent the email and then I'm going to call Knightsbridge to check they have received it and find out what the next steps are. I'm hoping it's very straight forward from there so i can go the my interview and not have the additional stress that my medical isn't finalised.

I can not wait to be sat on that plane with this part of the process a distant memory. I have been through every emotion possible on this journey and will be glad to have a small break before starting the next part.

Day 235 waiting for NOA2.  Called and talked to Tier2.  Feeling slightly better when the officer reported that our file was being looked at.  Hope we get an approval soon.

I don't mind Skype, I've been using it for work too. What I hate is waking  up at 5.15 every morning to talk. Well, 3 more weeks - and there will be no time difference, yay!Eric is coming here on Oct 22 to help us pack and move.
Saying goodbye will be hard, I'm sure, so in a sense I'm happy to be awfully busy - no time for crying just yet

Visa issued already 😁😁😁 yaayy😁😁it was just one day after the interview. The CO asked me to come back to the embassy to pick up my passport on Wednesday. After being already issued sooner, should I go to the embassy on Monday instead?

Depending on your arrival time, and if you're late or early, it might be better to forgo the shuttle services and take a taxi or two since I think you've got 4 or 5 of you traveling together if my memory is right.  The shuttle services can take 45 minutes to an hour, according to their websites, and I think that's because they make multiple stops at both airports including the 20-25 minute drive between the two airports.  The taxi should only take you the drive time, 20-25 minutes depending on traffic, and while it might be a little of a hassle to split between 2 taxis it might end up being around the same cost as the shuttle service.  I just looked at one, NYC Airporter, and that's $16 per ticket including children.  So, for a group of 5 that's going to cost $80, which is about what it will cost for 2 taxis depending on traffic and tip.  Also, if you end up in one of the SUV or Minivan Taxis, you could all fit into 1, save money over the shuttle, and ensure you make your connection, just an option for you to consider.
