  1. A Neighbor just sent her I-485 package a couple weeks ago. Yesterday, they received an RFE for the I-864 income. Would you use adequate assets to resubmit...or would you get a qualified joint sponsor with spouse? Why?
  2. I strongly suggest you send the new fees. Good luck. Keep us updated.
  3. Did they return the first payment to you? If so, you MUST send payment for the new fee.
  4. What other Visa Journey username are you using?
  5. That is not correct. They would come via immigrant visas (IR-5). Upon entry into the US, they automatically become Green Card holders IMMEDIATELY. They can then immediately exit the country and re=enter as Green Card holders.
  6. ***A comment containing an unverified link removed***
  7. Looks like they CAN travel before the visas expire in May. They would rather not. In that case, they will have to start from scratch if the visas expire.
  8. If the visas expire, they will, likely, not have a choice. They should travel to the US before the visas expire, then immediately (like immediately) return to home country to tie up loose ends.
  9. That could be a mistake. If the visas expire, the consulate has the sole discretion to re-issue the visas if they could not travel due to circumstances beyond their control. Otherwise, the entire process would have to be repeated. An alternative is for them to travel to the US, "activate" their legal status, then immediately return to home country to tie up loose ends.
  10. Your choice. Good luck.
  11. An I-130 is NOT needed if the K-1 marriage takes place within 90 of entry into the US.
  12. I think you can. Contact the issuer.
  13. Contact the issuer. I would think the answer is yes, you can get the money back if USCIS returned it to you.
  14. There have been cases where the CO asked for the additional document to be uploaded after the interview, thus, delaying the issue process. Your CO may or not ask you to upload. You're already DQ'd....no harm in uploading additional documents.
  15. I would upload a complete copy of the 2023 tax package to CEAC. Otherwise, the CO might delay issuing the visa until you do....even if you bring a copy to interview.
  16. If the cashier's check is not equal to the CURRENT fee, then you must send a new, correct payment. "You must meet ALL requirements as of the date of the new filing" Personally, I would send a new I-130 just to check the accuracy.
  17. The sooner you pay it, the sooner your plastic Green card will be produced once you have entered the US. I would pay it asap.
  18. It appears Venezuela (as does the US) requires you, as a dual citizen, to enter and exit that country with a Venezuela passport. I don't see an issue. You just present your Venezuela passport when you arrive there. You will present a US passport when arriving back in the US.
  19. I'm not sure same day oaths are the norm in Dallas, although I know they did some a little more than a year ago. They often do a mass ceremony. When my wife took her oath, more than 1000 new citizens were sworn in at the Plano Event Center during her ceremony.
  20. Waiting in line....nothing to hear until NVC schedules interview.
