  1. In early 2023, wife received her Naturalization Certificate 7 weeks after receiving her passport. There was no tracking. Some people get them back faster.
  2. Correct it at the interview and/or at POE .
  3. You are still within normal processing times. Nothing you can do at this point. Patience is the key during the entire immigration process. Hang in there.
  4. You stated, in another post, that you are the beneficiary. In what country will you interview? Boarding passes and passport stamps are preferable to itineraries.
  5. Visa expiration will 6 months from the medical....at most. It could be even less. It is not based on visa approval date.. This is 100% accurate.
  6. Lower taxes, lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, less political persecution of political opponents, and a more secure border would help me. I couldn't care less about mean tweets.
  7. Carry legal documents which will "connect the dots" between the names. I agree with @OldUser and @JKLSemicolon. Your biggest issue could be boarding an airline. Agree. You beat me by 2 seconds...LOL.
  8. Be aware that you must submit your original Naturalization Certificate.....which the passport folks will return...although it could be weeks after you receive the passport.
  9. Congratulations!!! Start looking for an appointment at a US passport acceptance agency or Post Office before you take the oath. Make the appointment for the day after your oath ceremony. Pay for expedited processing and expedited shipping. You should have your passport in a month or less.

  12. Except for a term called "selective prosecution". Aren't there a bunch of them in jail???
  13. There are no immigration checks when exiting the US. That shouldn't be a problem.
  14. **Moved to Working and Traveling during US Immigration***
  15. Yes, she can leave..... There are no immigration checks when exiting the US. Getting back in WILL be an issue without an extension letter.
  16. I agree with that statement as long as it applies to EVERYONE.
  17. Thanks. I wondered what current processing times were.
  18. You have to wait until NVC schedules your interview. They will then send the case to your consulate.
  19. ***Let's keep this thread on topic of Green Cards for foreign students. There are other threads where we can discuss candidates****
  20. We all know a lot of foreign students come to the US with hopes of finding employment in the US. I suspect there would be specific qualifiers if this ever came to fruition.
  21. I uploaded a request letter when wife applied online. Wife's Name Address August 7, 2022 US Citizenship & Immigration Services P.O. Box 25920 Overland, KS 66225 Dear USCIS Officer Please consider this letter as an official request for a combination I-751/N-400 interview or waiver of the I-751 interview. We submitted my joint I-751 petition in March of 2019. My biometrics was completed in May of 2019. The status of my I-751, case number MSCXXXXXX has been “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” since May 2019. I have received no RFEs or requests of any kind. Sincerely, Wife's Name
  22. Lease agreement, job searches, concrete steps toward actually moving to the US. Consulate officers are the sole approval authority for visas.
  23. Absolutely does not need to go, imo. Many Americans do not understand the importance of our electoral college system or the importance of STATES rights which were established in the Constitution. There is no national election for President. There are 51 separate elections. We are a union of 50 individual states and the District of Columbia. A popular vote across the entire union would diminish the votes of less populated rural states. Without the Electoral College, Presidential candidates could campaign in only a few states......because the votes and the opinions of voters in less populated areas would be worthless. I believe there is no better system, than the Electoral College, for our union of 50 states. Note: When someone says, "Candidate X is leading in the popular vote", just remember, it is meaningless because there is no real "popular vote". - My opinion Here is an opinion article which explains why we should keep the EC. Killing the Electoral College would turn rural Americans into serfs (usatoday.com) "Should rural and small-town Americans be reduced to serfdom? The American Founders didn’t think so. This is one reason why they created checks and balances, including the Electoral College. " "The Electoral College requires more than just the most raw votes to win — it requires geographic balance. This helps to protect rural and small-town Americans."
