  1. You can travel on any Green Card, alone, up to the day of its expiration.
  2. You can travel with only a Green Card if it has not expired by the time you return. If it will expire during your time outside the US, you will need both the expired Green Card and the 48 month extension letter you will receive when submitting an I-751.
  3. If they are no longer dependent on you, then don't show them as dependents on a current I-864.

  9. Once an interview date has been scheduled by NVC, contact the consulate for all interview matters. I would just contact them and explain, so that they do not just close your case.

  16. The opposite. Applying as a 5 year Green Card holder is easier.
  17. If you are eligible, file under the 5 year rule. There is no penalty for being married to a US citizen. In addition, there is less paperwork and no bona fide marriage evidence required under the 5 year rule. There is no difference in speed either way.
  18. Petitioner and beneficiary. Immigration Benefits Background Check Systems (IBBCS) | Homeland Security (dhs.gov)
  19. It could take a few weeks to a year or more from DQ to interview being scheduled. It depends on the queue for your consulate at NVC. Here is the process for immigrant visas: 1. Case is DQ'd by NVC. 2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC. 3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month. 4. NVC schedules interviews for cases at the front of the line. 5. NVC schedules your interview when your case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate. 6. NVC notifies person of interview date via email. 7. NVC then sends case to consulate. After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case. You might want to check the more recent timelines from Poland here on VJ.
  20. IOC should be ashamed of themselves for disrespecting Women's sports.
  21. Looks normal under the circumstances. I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Keeping his passport is a good sign. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes longer than 2 weeks. Good luck.
