  1. Had you entered the US after 2 years of marriage to the US citizen, you would have received a 10 year Green Card, instead of a 2 year card. You cannot file an I-751 to remove conditions until 90 days prior to the expiration of the 2 year GC (assuming you have not divorced).
  2. Biden sent a new letter today to Democrats saying he is staying in the race....and he spewed typical lies. Read Biden's letter to House Democrats telling them to support him | AP News Biden tells Hill Democrats he is staying in the race | CNN Politics "President Joe Biden told congressional Democrats in a letter on Monday that he will continue his reelection bid despite mounting concerns about his mental fitness and the viability of his campaign, while also hitting back at party “elites” in an interview ahead of a critical week on Capitol Hill."
  3. Bingo!! That's what I was referring to in "All things considered".
  4. ***Moved to What Visa Do I Need?*** All things considered, I would strongly consider marrying and starting the spousal visa process. Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 3-6 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 3-6 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire K-1 entrant cannot file for citizenship until after having Green Card for 3 years. Once an I-129F has been approved, delaying the case is difficult to impossible if the need arises. CR-1/IR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US. The clock for citizenship filing starts immediately upon entry to the US. A CR-1/IR-1 case can be delayed indefinitely at NVC if the need arises.

  6. Invoice numbers are not relevant to K-1 cases.
  7. I'm not sure why some attorneys suggest waiting. The sole purpose of the AP document is to allow you to return to the US. Many, many people travel with AP every day. ***Moved to Working and Traveling during US Immigration****
  8. This is very common. I predict you will see approvals within a few days, unless there are complexities in your I-751. Congratulations.
  9. In 2022, 40.1% of households paid no individual income tax. In 2021, The top 1 percent earned 26.3 percent of total AGI and paid 45.8 percent of all federal income taxes. Are the "rich" paying their fair share, and where should tax cuts be applied?
  10. Biden sounded very adamant about staying in the race on Friday.
  11. Let's just throw all those actual state primary votes away. Wow. This could backfire in a big way.
  12. They'll spin it, somehow. But it certainly looks suspicious.
  13. Are you voting based on policy or against the personality of one man?
  14. You think we'll see him making sure it was a fair election if he loses?
  15. I suspect that is one of the reasons Jill and Hunter are fighting the current opposition to Biden's remaining in the race.
  16. Sounds like an ACTING Judge up there in NY. ...who WILL be reversed if he sentences Trump. Sometimes, no bill is better than a bad bill.
  17. Inflation during his last term looked pretty good to me. Speaking of immunity, the SCOTUS decision does not give any POTUS the authority to act outside his/her Constitutional authority. It does give ANY PTOUS immunity from being prosecuted for acts done under Constitutional authority. One such act could be Obama ordering the death of 2 American citizens without due process. I don't understand how Trump can be any more dangerous than the national security threat we have in the WH right now...just my opinion. Note: If I were inside the US illegally, I would worry about Trump.
  18. Enter the name and address in language of the country where the beneficiary resides (or where beneficiary will be interviewed).
  19. There was a successful case within the last 2 or 3 years. I haven't found it yet.
  20. Yes. She can temporarily visit you for a few months during the process if laws in your country allow it. If they are qualified.
  21. The republic is safe. The US Constitution does not allow dictators. Biden has brought us sky-high gas prices, massive inflation, and an invasion at our border...but no mean tweets. I'd rather have the mean tweets. I don't recall Trump defying the SCOTUS, or refusing to enforce current immigration law. I, like the vast majority of the public, think the country is headed in the wrong direction. I think we can change that direction with the right choice in November.
