  1. It is recommended to wait until after the visa is in hand and has been checked for errors.
  2. Visas are approved after the interview and only after all administrative processing is complete. Verbal approvals are not binding. Sounds like everything is normal. Your only official approval will be noted by the CEAC status.
  3. They are the very people they claim to detest. They practice the very things they claim to oppose.
  4. Rumor is that a massive rebellion against Biden is about to begin....."orchestrated and brutal" with many dems abandoning him as candidate.

  6. Here is a reference for when a visa holder becomes a legal resident: Requirements for Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Visas | U.S. Customs and Border Protection (cbp.gov) " Immigrant Visa An immigrant visa is issued to a foreign national who intends to live and work permanently in the United States. In most cases, a relative or employer sponsors the individual by filing an application with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Certain applicants such as workers with extraordinary ability, investors, and certain special immigrants can petition on their own behalf. The application is later forwarded to the appropriate U.S. Consulate or Embassy overseas for continued processing and issuance of the immigrant visa to the intending immigrant, if eligible. An intending immigrant must present the immigrant visa at a U.S. port-of-entry prior to the expiration of the immigrant visa. An intending immigrant becomes a lawful permanent resident once the immigrant visa and accompanying paperwork is reviewed and endorsed by a CBP Officer. For specific information regarding immigrant visa classifications and requirements, refer to the USCIS website or the Department of State website."
  7. Thanks for posting. You did great. The official CBP Carrier Information guide shows a picture and explains who can board. This is an excellent example of why people who enter the US via an immigrant visa should insist that CBP place that endorsement stamp near the visa. carrier-information-guide-english.pdf (cbp.gov)
  8. The requirements are the same whether filing online or not.
  9. One of them will have to file a new I-130 for her after entering the US via an immigrant visa. She will have to remain unmarried. It will be several years before sister can immigrate to the US through your parents. Through you, as a sibling, it would take 20+ years.

  13. The cases are not linked at this time. They are separate cases. The proper procedure will be to: 1. Hold each case at NVC until they are all there. 2. After they are ALL there, submit documents and pay fees for all the cases. 3. Then contact NVC and the consulate to ask for them to be linked and interviewed together.
  14. Good luck, @Md4764. We're all pulling for your success.
  15. A penny saved is a penny earned. 😄
  16. That still costs more than refiling.
  17. I'm curious. Why pay the extra attorney fee and higher N-336 fee when you can pay much less and receive the very same result?
  18. You would rather request a hearing vs re-filing? Seems, to me, refiling would be quick, easy, and maybe faster. Practical remedy.
  19. Personally, I think the bar was so low last night, that Biden did just enough to stave off the wolves for now.....and I am thrilled!!! Time for replacing Biden is fleeting.
  20. It is unlikely that it will be discussed. The only time I know where there were issues was a case in which the foreign spouse was accused of misrepresentation after making specific statements about adjusting during secondary screening at her POE.
  21. It's important to understand that once you file a proper I-485 package, you will be granted "authorized stay" in the US until the I-485 has been approved or denied. "Authorized stay" is not a legal status, but it prevents you from accruing unlawful presence. After an I-94 expires, you will be out of status, but authorized to remain in the US until I-485 adjudication. Also, be aware of the travel and work restriction when adjusting status.
  22. Your marriage certificate is your legal name change document. You should enter your new legal name (any combination of the names on the marriage certificate) on all immigration forms.
  23. Even the liberal magnifying glasses is focused. Fact check: Biden’s NATO press conference | CNN Politics Fact-checking Biden’s news conference - The Washington Post “As a consequence, working with Mexico, border encounters have gone down over 50 percent. The current level is lower today than when Trump left office.” Biden’s framing is misleading. He is referring to a Department of Homeland Security estimate that the seven-day average of migrant apprehensions dropped more than 40 percent to less than 2,400 encounters per day since he issued an executive action barring asylum at the southern border. " “There are at least five presidents running or incumbent presidents who had lower numbers than I have now later in the campaign.” Biden’s whistling past the graveyard here. According to the presidential ratings tracked by FiveThirtyEight, Biden’s approval rating, 36.8 percent, at this point in his presidency is lower than any other presidents besides George H.W. Bush (36.7 percent) and Jimmy Carter (33.9 percent). Gerald Ford had an approval rating slightly higher. All three lost."
