I did not get a tracking number as well when they mailed the packet to the Department of State.
I just checked the application status page everyday: https://passportstatus.state.gov/
I also put my email in there. It was 8/25/2020 when I got an email that my application is already "In Process"

Use the google I added columns for approved and ship dates.

Thank you for this information Suze1! I prioritized the in-person passport application this afternoon. I was planning to update my SS after I get back my naturalization certificate but you and ME_RHEDZ77 got me thinking.
Maybe I will just wait for SSA. I also got the REAL ID the last time I renewed so I guess I will just wait for my next renewal which is coming up next year.
 

Prior to sending my application for my passport, I did thought of updating first my Citizenship Status at SSA. I have called the local SSA office in my city and were been advised same as what been advised to you. The lady that I spoke with said, if I'm not in a hurry, I can wait 'till the office reopens. She told me that there is no bearing even if my citizenship will be updated later.
 
Also with DMV, since my DL is still valid, the staff that I spoke with, told me since my DL was already a REAL DL ID, there is no problem if I update my citizenship on the due time for renewal of DL, to avoid paying the fee for DL ID.

Updating SSA Record after Naturalization - By Mail
 
Just spoke with someone at the Social Security Administration in our area outside Tampa, FL.
The SSA Representative confirmed that they are NOT having any face-to-face meetings with customers at this time (are not booking any appointments and are not accepting any walk-ins; only online services are possible).
Updating your SSA record after naturalization is, however, NOT one of the online services available at this time
 
The Representative said that we CAN update our record by mail by sending in the SS-5 Form directly to his office, along with the original naturalization certificate OR passport, and they will process it for us.
He said to send it with USPS tracking,  give it a week or so to arrive, and then call in to verify that they had received it.
He said they will then verify the information over the phone with us, update the record,  and then return the original documents we sent.
He said we could expect to get it back in a few weeks.
So, at least that might be a way to proceed.
Since we have no idea when this covid-driven lockdown will end.
 
 

Glad you had a rescheduled noticed. 
My original interview was on April 17, and De-scheduled on April 1. 
I am still waiting for them to remember my case.!!!

I am also in the same situation as you. My 18-month extension letter will expire on June 2020. I filed my N400 and requested a concurrent adjudication for I-751 and N400. Just 2 days before my scheduled March 2020 interview, they called me to inform that all interviews were cancelled until further notice. Right now, I'm just waiting for them to reopen to check if I need to schedule an appointment for I-551 stamp or just wait for my N400 interview.
 
I am working in the HR dept and we process E-verify (I-9 forms). I agree with HRQX above. You can actually sue your employer if they ask you about your status to "keep" your job.
