Do not lie - if you're caught you will get a lifetime ban. Why risk it? You've made it so far so why jeopardize it over a lie? I'd tell the truth and possibly wait a year to come over. They WILL test your urine as now (especially in European countries) because there is so much exposure to drugs right now with everything going on - they are being very very strict about drugs right now. NEVER lie to the USCIS. They will find you out. They also monitor these sites ( I know of someone whom used to work for them.)

Op - I'm 21 and I pay for all of my own meals, my own insurance, my own car payments, and phone bill. Before I moved here I saved every penny from my old job which was reasonably well paid. I would never expect to move here and become a financial burden on someone else. Yes my husband helps me out by paying for meals sometimes or taking us out to the cinema or shopping or whatever, and I am very lucky in the sense he would help me out no problem. But I think you are expecting something miraculous to happen such as overnight your husband becomes a human ATM. It's all about helping one another but you have a job, and an obligation to pay for what you use - nobody else. I'm sorry if this comes across rude or abrupt but I feel like you're just expecting way too much from him. Either leave him if you're fed up with it, or sit down and have a conversation with him and sort something out that way.

It very much can lead to deportation and getting annoyed for someone telling you this shows you have no intellect or ability to process what you plan to do is just wrong. Being marked to a USC does not make any difference they will deport her if she's committed immigration fraud. Also, depending where she is coming from they will align her name up with marital records and if she gets caught it will be bad for both her and you.

Yes!! Go back to canada and be safe!! This man sounds like a liability and you don't need that negative energy in your life. There's no shame in divorce. Always do what makes you happy you only get one life!!!

I came here from Scotland. Where everything was much nicer, free education, free healthcare, organic food, good public transport etc. I would've liked my husband to come to the U.K. But he loves it here and I'm easy oasy so I decided to graduate and move over just for him and also a change of scenery really. Nothing wrong with home and it'll always be home - who knows maybe we'll decide to move back if a certain presidential candidate gets elected haha!!!

    Hi,
I don't want to try and scare you or anything this is just one experience. However, this summer I booked my one way flight from the U.K. to USA (Glasgow-New York) through opodo. Due to the fact I live on a vegan diet I thought I'd contact Thomas cook airlines to ensure I had food onboard ... only to find out opodo hadn't made any reservations with the confirmation number or my name. They also sent me a "ticket" with both my name spelled wrongly and the wrong DOB... I called the day before I was supposed to fly out and they had cancelled my flight. Essentially the way they describe the one way ticket is how you get your one way. I contacted my husbands credit card provider and struggled to get our money back because opodo refused to pick up our calls or respond to me. So just make damn sure your flights are legit. I've heard such bad things about them now also.
As I said just check it out. You could get lucky. I just wasn't in this case.

    Impossible...
I strongly suggest you seriously consider your "Bona fide" relationship with this woman as one of you isn't telling the truth or doesn't fully understand the other persons situation. You also should not refer to her as your "us citizen girlfriend" that seems odd not only to us here, but to the USCIS. Likelihood , someone is lying and it's going to be a strange case and possibly a waste of time and money if found to be not legit.
You need to get her to be honest with you and you also need to learn to take advice from people on here whom have been dealing with this kinda thing for years.

I feel the exact same ... I'm from the UK and I had to wait 77 days nobody can guarantee when you'll get approved, wether you'll get a RFE or anything the USCIS has their own weird way of dealing with these files so we'll never know the ins and outs of if. You've just got to be patient (people would always tell me this and I'd be furious) but just enjoy it right now and let it flow you've got the rest of your lives together tomorrow is just another day :-)

    Yes :-
    A) my flights are non-refundable.
    B) we have travel plans within those travel plans.
    C) We've got a wedding to have.
    D) I would be left in the UK homeless and jobless therefore unable to provide for myself. Or live essentially.
    Thank you for your help.
