  1. I got approved just now.........mine is a complicated Waiver application.

No rfe, no interview. Got an update in the DHS site that, new card is being produced.

    Noa: July 11th 2017

    Approved: Nov 15th 2018

    Receipt: WAC17283001XX

People, be patient. If your marriage is legit you will be approved :) Its just matter fo time.

Thank you so much @sandranj @Damara and many other folks who helped me through this process. 🙏

My attorney just took 4k retainer and did nothing, this form helped me alot. Gob bless you all!

Hey guys, I have a question - My divorce proceedings are going on. Do you think it's safe for me to travel outside the country (planning to go home in December) with my 18 months extension letter ? Any idea if I'll have issues at immigration when I enter the US?

You will not have any issues. You can travel with ext letter.

Worst case, you might be taken for secondary inspection, but should be cake walk, unless you have something else (deportable offence) on you file.

hi everyone, im new here. I really need help. Im married for about 3yrs already. But I cant take it anymore. i was verbally abused many times by my husband that pushed me to attempted suicide in front of him due to frustration and depression. and because he knew everything in this country he called the police and reported what had happened. But after that we still decided to save the marriage but its not working anymore. My heart is broken already.

    now, my questions are:

my ROC filing will be on Feb 2019

    1. what is the best thing to do, File the divorce now and file ROC by myself or joint?

    2. filing a divorce will affect my ROC application that will cause denial or deportation?

Please help me, i really dont know what to do i have teenager son with me and my husband wants to kick him out in his house and send him back to our country.

your help and response is highly appreciated. God bless to all.

Immigration should be the last priority. You safety and well being should be the first.

If your marriage is genuine, you will get your gc. All the best.

    Hi Guys,

    I filled joint i-751 last year 01/2017.

    i got request of evidence.

now I am changing joint application to waiver.

On RFE, they stated that bank statements did not show enough joint activities and asking more financial documents.

    my question is.

how hard to overcome the joint financial commitments? How important for officers to prove that?

    Not enough joint activities?

You guys do not have payroll deposits?

    Any house hold purchases?

    Payments to credit cards, utilities?

OMG why did you file under hardship??? The attny you went to is clueless. FIND A NEW ATTNY or attempt to fix this yourself. You need to get divorced. File for divorce and try to request USCIS to change you from hardship to divorce waiver. They may or they may not. If they dont you need to refile/pay again under divorce.

Very few people need to file under hardship. It is incredibly difficult to prove and you have to prove the marriage and the hardship. Filing under divorce you only need to prove the marriage. Post back if you need more help.

    I agree.

About two days ago my wife received an 18 month extension letter as well. The she received this email this afternoon. Has anyone received an email like this and how long did it take after the email to get an interview or the GC?

    Your Case Status: Initial Review

On August 14, 2018, we updated your name for your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number EACxxxxxxxxxx. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

    • Log-in to your myUSCIS account to view your case history and understand what you can expect to happen next on your case.

    • Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at under Check Processing Times.

She had her biometrics last October. She filed her I-751 at the VSC.

    Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

    It sounds like approval.

    hi

me and my wife got divorce recently  because she did adultery, and now my lawyer telling me we can choose more than one option as bellow:

    1. my spouse is deceased

    2. my marriage was entered in a good faith but the marriage was terminated through divorce or annulment.

    3. i entered the marriage in a good faith and during the marriage i was battered or subjected to external or was subject of extreme cruelty

    4. my parents entered the marriage in a good faith .......

    5. the termination of my status of removal from the united states would result s  an extreme hardship

he says we should choose option 2,3 and 5. don't you guys think the option 5 is just for asylum or irrelevant to adultery?

You can only select 2, if are applying on basis of divorce.

Unless there is an abuse involved, you cannot select other options.

  9. Hello all,

I am going through therapy sessions to overcome my PTSD.

Do we just need a letter that we attended 7 sessions or do we need a detailed description of each session/time/date/ other keen details for every session?

I am going through therapy. I have medical insurance.

My hospital just give me appointment confirmation of each session, they will not provide any detailed description. I have prescriptions to show the medicines I am using.

    Please suggest.

    am May 2017 filer, CSC.

Went to local office today to get extension. I was told that my case is CLOSED due to not showing on interview in May. I never received notice in mail that I am scheduled for an interview. They took my expired green card and told me that I need to file FOIA request.

Can I reopen my case and how???

    They didn't have an answer...

Did you applied with the help of an attorney?

Hi guys, I’m a aug 2016 filer, waiver case.

Had my interview last wed at my local office and was approved on the spot.

The status online hasn’t changed since, no phone or emails notifications, when I log in to my acc still says : your file has been transferred to another office that has jurisdiction over your case.

    Has anyone else experienced that?

I remember when I was approved at the interview for my conditional GC, I received the email/text notifications right away.

    Which wavier did you applied?

    Thanks for the replies.

Yeah the marriage was legit. I met him at work and we came here together after him getting out from army.

It was okay until he turned to totally different person I used to know.

I do have a lot of pictures with him and his family is on my side so I can ask them for letters. We have a house together. Will sell it soon but I need to sign to sell so that can be a proof too I guess. I also have military dependent card under his sponsor when he was in military. I was afraid of getting kicked out because I have no connection in my country and I am not willing to go back there. And I tried to work with him on the marriage but he ended up with that girl he was cheating on me with so I am going to say bye to this marriage and get the green card with waiver!

Sounds like you have some good proofs.

Try to collect as much as you can, mainly financial co-mingling and proofs showing you lived together. You should be alright.

They have been giving me hopes, but trust me I do not trust lawyers anymore. I also want to have an expert opinion of members of this forum.

Given your marriage was annulled that too because of GC fraud. Your chances are very slim.

    Just my opinion.

Another strategy atty will use is, just apply only abuse waiver without mentioning Divorce/ without sending divorce decree etc.

    All the best.
