Not all of us can have the ease of dual citizenship 

Just had my interview. Was a combo interview and took about 20 min. Got one question for the I-751 and my citizenship interview was first so my husband was there and I passed no problem. (I was sooo nervous). 
Already got update on app that I’m in line for oath. 

I had same issue at the interview. I had to ask him multiple times to repeat the question. I said No when he asked me if I have ever filed federal taxes? He was like really “ you never filed taxes?” I had to say right away I mis heard and all the taxes have been paid till now. Phew ... plus there was a glass barrier on the desk as well!! 

C'mon....you know better than that

This is a very sincere question: do you have anything in New Mexico for you other than moving just for immigration purposes? If the IO asked you during the interview why you moved in the middle of the process, I am not sure how well they would like the answer of "so my petition could be approved faster." Also, moving could end up backfiring on you because you have to wait for them to transfer your petition, then have another office look at it, and then you're added to the list behind everyone that is already at that office. 
 
I know the waiting is hard. Believe me if anyone does it's my husband and I. We had to go through the K1 and the CR1 process to get him here which added more cost and another year to being together. Then we waited a year and a half to get his ROC approved while we watched many people who filed the same time be approved with out an interview and very quickly. Like all things immigration, patience is key. Your time will come. Don't make a big life changing decision based on an estimate that isn't always accurate. 

Hey just got back from my interview, granted!  Officer was really nice, I am suprisee how fast everything became so electronic. I did not have to use a paper or pen. FYI once you arrive don't forget to check in at the window 3 with your interview letter!!
 
I am so happy, now waiting on my ceremony notification letter🎉🎉

Yeah india is tricky. You can do this OCI thing though right? I don’t know exactly how that works though, just seen others mention it.

Unfortunately! its not allowed on anymore! I saw on Indian embassy website, the moment I take oath I am not allowed to travel on India passport anymore. India do not offer dual citizenship and all visa services are suspended for now. so lets see!  

Oh man I can so sympathize. I was so excited to get my US passport and travel everywhere I had needed visas for before and then wham! Covid struck. I was supposed to be in Europe last week but that got cancelled obviously...
 
But I agree with @Georgia16, I think you should apply anyway. Also stuff happens and you never know when you need a valid passport. 

I Think you should apply for it. Then you have it and can go when things open up again and don’t have to wait for your passport by then. Make that passport your treat! 

Its such a great feeling. I truly can’t wait to click delete on the very large file of evidence I’ve had on my computer since 2014. I can’t wait to not have to stress about filing fees, documenting my life for the government and worrying about interviews and petitions.

Great!! Wish my office was like that but they like to make people wait 1-3 months. 
I'm happy for you! It is over very soon and you can burn up all those documents! 

I would recommend taking everything you have with you. They only asked for our daughter's birth certificate. I know others that we asked to submit tax information and others who needed to provide a lot more. It kind of all depends on the IO and what kind of evidence you've already submitted.

He offered me day after  tomorrow as well but I have really important meeting Work. He told me I can choose different date if that doesn’t work. I choose July 29th. He had those oath papers on his desk ready. He just wrote my alien number in it and gave it to me. 

So Finally I am approved on the spot! So it was very easy interview. I checked in the building and there were only three people waiting for their interviews. My name was called in and officer asked to follow him. I was sworned in first. And he started civic questions.

My heart was pumping fast at that moment. I heard printer printing a paper and then he showed it to me saying I am approved. He asked if I want to take oath next week amd gave me oath letter right away. I am scheduled for my Oath on July 29th.
