Sorry I should have reread it before posting. 🤦🏽‍♀️ We got notice that they will be scheduling an interview for us. No date yet. We’ll have to wait on the Salt Lake center to have an opening. 

Cao, evo i ja stigao u US. Stigao sam na JFK u utorak uvece, a u ponedjeljak hocu da predam za SSN. Citao sam na forumu da su neki aplicirali i posle 2 dana od ulaska i da nije bilo problema, ali eto ja rekoh bolje da sacekam do ponedjeljka. Uzeli smo i marriage license i to vjencanje je posle ove dolazece nedelje.
Dakle nasi planovi:
1. Apliciranje za ssn
2. Vjencanje
3. Odlazak na honeymoon
4. Pri povratku (ako dobijem ssn do tad) otvoriti joint bank account, vec sam na njenom planu sto se tice telefona.
5. Za marriage license su nam rekli da moze trajati do 3 nedelje da je dobijemo, treba li da zatrazimo certified copy ili mozemo da samo napravimo kopiju od originala ? Trenutno sam kod njenih roditelja, pa treba li da izvadim koji dokument koji dokazuje da zivimo zajedno ?
6. Apliciranje za AOS,takodje za AP i EA.
Ima li nesto da sam propustio?

Prvo te prozovu, skeniras prste, predajes im dokumentaciju, onda ti on kaze da ces morati da platis, onda posle toga opet te zovu da radis isto, onda opet na kraju te zovnu da radis intervju nesto ako. I neku zakletvu moras da izgovoris.

Predao sam tamo gdje primaju postu. Kako da stignes do tamo ne pitaj me, jer sam im rekao da objasne taksisti j djee to, pa se i on iznenadio da tamo postoji dio ambasade. Uglavnom to ti dodje ovako, ima jedna kasarna(preko puta bolnice, ne znam koja).Kad stignes do ulaza u kasarnu imal jedna ulica lijevo i samo je pratis. Eto ako sto pomaze.
Nadam se da ce mi intervju biti za jedno barem 4 nedelje.

As expected, this lady at the SSA office was obviously ignorant. A GC is also issued by the USCIS, so it's a ridiculous argument to make that the DHS does not recognize paperwork from USCIS!
 
My suggestion to you would be to go there again with the POMS printout (highlight the relevant parts) and ask to speak to a supervisor if the window agent has a similar attitude. They are supposed to follow their own rules! Don't back down till you get a supervisor.

I believe that it is a mistake to just wait 2-3 months for them to contact me when it could very likely  be that they already mailed an appointment letter but that it got lost in the mail. It does not hurt to contact them and see what is going in, this is not 2 weeks after receiving extension letter, it's two months.
 
I have read on the forum that a lot of people receive their appointment letter even before their extension letter.
 
 
So, i encourage anyone to contact uscis and not find oneself in a situation where mail got lost and they did not go to their appointment because of that- avoiding trouble down the road.  You really do not make any sense when you say "wait for them to contact you", are they going to give me a call or send me an email when the appointment is made? If so perfect, however ,I believe they only sent appointment letter, and do not take this personally, but your suggestion is not a good one.
 
We pay money ,spend time on this, stress, wait, and this is not a step where you are waiting for them to make a decission and you just have to wait - they already mailed an extension letter and the next, if not immediate, step is to have the fingerprint done-if they require, if not, then i want a confirmation that they do not need it. 
 
Again, I contact them to make sure that no appointment has been made for me and no letter has been mailed or lost - because i did not receive any, yet.

I applied on December 10th, and on February 10-14th I received my extension letter. Actually, I received two extension letters.
 
How long until the fingerprint appointment, is this mandatory, i think i've read that sometimes it doesn't need to be done.

Probably this is why uscis stopped walkins and online appointments and now routes those requests through phone so they can weed out useless appointments- in the sense that some people just have to wait.
 
 
2. Officer did not take my green card instead he gave it back- I’ve read here that in many places they don’t give it back or cut it.

Finally, got a call from someone in ny who understood my case and who explained that while she cannot schedule before the 30day she can schedule it within that time frame which is what i was trying to do the whole time.
 
Got a schedule for next week first day of the 30day window. 
 
Knowing uscis they will send me an extension letter a day after i get the stamp.

So m, today i received a response for the service request i made on dec 26th. It’s a generic response which basically says that they recently sent the receipt notice and just to check that i’m registered with usps.
 
I thought they would send a courtesy letter when respondig to the service request.
 

I spoke to a nice lady, she said exactly that. I have to wait 30days before my gc expires to schedule it. 
 
I’m really lost here, they just wont schedule the appointment. It’s a shame they can’t produce one document/notice in 2months time.
 
I also submitted a request online for non delivery of receipt, no response yet.

I spend in NY 12-14hr per day and sometimes dont even go back to NJ but sleep in NY . I don't see how that is fraud considering i spend most of my time here and not in NJ. NJ and NY  can be crossed in half an hour to 40min from where i am. And i consider myself more of a NY resident than NJ. 

Stigla mi SS karta i broj danas ili juce nisam provjerio tacno datum. U ponedjeljak sam aplicirao, par dana nakon dolaska.

Ovdje citam i svima su vjerovali na rijec da su imali boginje i tako im stavili,mislim za ove strance. Ja mislim da mi pise na onaj zuti karton da sam imao boginje, pa cu vidjeti ovdje oce li mi to priznati kako ne bi radio taj test.
Ali eto, nadam se da ce se ljudi ovdje sjetiti da upozore one koji idu na k1 da obrate paznju na ovo.

Ona konzularka me pitala par puta za neke datume kao kad je prvi put dosla, kad ste se vjerili, sve htjela da pogrijesim - dakle jedno 3 puta me pitala za isti datum.. Uglavnom, ja je dobih.
P.S od paketa, niti screenshotove sa vibera, skype, facebook , niti dodatne slike, niti nesto drugo sto sam bio uzimao nizu uzeli. Jednom me pitala gdje su slike iz Turske, ja reko tu su vam u paket koji smo poslali a imam neke i ovdje ako hocete pogledati, i tu rece ne, i dade mi vizu. Od svega sto sam uzeo , oni su uzeli nekih 15-20% dokumenata.
P.S valjda mi imamo prioritet pa same usao prije nekih 15 ljudi koji su cekali, pa samo da znate.
Na kraju su mi vratili slike koje smo prvobitno slali sa peticijom. Sad cekam da mi dodje pasos i paket onaj preko poste, kad ce to biti ne znam, pretpostavljam petak/ponedjeljak.

Koliki mi je paket sto nosim na intervju, ljudi to je nenormalno, skoro ili barem 1kg ima.
Uzeo sam i dosta dokumenata koje smo slali za peticiju, za svaki slucaj.

Ne znam zasto si se uopste nasla u mojem postu. Ja sam izrazio kako se ja osjecam. Meni je iskreno zao sto vama stvaraju problem, ali je to ipak moje misljenje, ako je sve legitimno i uredno, pretpostavljam da u 90% slucajeva nece praviti problema, a i zasto bi ?
Sto se tice imena, to necu komentarisati jer stvarno ne vidim kakve uopste veze to ima, mi smo ovdje da se informisemo kako ide proces, ne da time sto stavljamo nasa prava imena dokazemo da je nasa veza transparentna i legitimna.
Kao sto rekoh, ko god se nasao u mojem postu to je njihova stvar i problem.
Nikoga nisam prozivao samo sam stavio do znanja moje misljenje i ipak mislim da je tako u 90% slucajeva. Ne volim da vjerujem da cu biti u te 10% kojima zadaju probleme.
E da, samo da dodam da su me dva puta odbili za turisticku kako bi ja moju sada vjerenicu posjetio, da bi na kraju morao sebi da obezbjedim vizu preko stipendije koji su mi oni dali i ipak mi pravili probleme zbog recimo sestre koja je tad bila u administrative processing, pa sam morao da im dostavim dokaz za to. Posao, vidjeo je tamo i vratio se, da sam htio da je ozenim i prekrsim zakon, mogao sam, ali nisam. Sta ce mi reci na intervju, ko zna, ali ce znati da sam itekako mogao da se ozenim sa njom kad sam tamo bio,ali nisam i ispostovao sam ja njih , i nadam se da ce mi isto uzvratiti. A moja veza vise lici na nesto sto nije transparentno zbog nekih drugih okolnosti, ali se ipak ne stresiram, bice sta ce biti.
