The op clearly said in her first post that she understands the negative and she is prepared for it and she's posted it again.. Y'all seriously need to learn how to read. She didn't say "guys im completely unaware of what can happen please feed me negativity."

Just provide recent pay stubs and a letter from your employer stating how much you make, and you should be good to go.

I believe OP is saying she is a citizen. Many people don't know how to properly explain themselves especially if English is not their main language.

Thank you so much for this! One of them is kind of similar to mine, so it gives me a little hope! I think he will test negative since it has been over a month since his last use. He truly does not care about marihuana, just did it casually because he didn't think it was any different than a glass of wine. He's naive, he's young, but he's not a dangerous druggy. MAYBE the psychiatrist will see that.

We live in Colorado, and I can smoke pot, if I was so inclined, because it's legal to do so in this state. However my husband, whom I reside with, works for the federal government and if he ever tests positive for drugs or alcohol he will lose his job. So in the case of drugs, recreational or not, federal law trumps state law.
Anyone who seriously thinks marijuana needs to be in the same class of drug as heroin, however, needs to get their own head examined. Obviously the federal government needs to make some changes in their laws, but they do so very slowly. (Look how long it took for marriage equality!)

I appreciate this topic, someone linked me to it and I find the information helpful. I know every case is different but I can take the fact that this happened fairly recently as a sign that maybe they are seeing things in a different light. I realize that drug use is illegal and we should expect consequences but I can't believe how rude and judgmental some people are being. Similarly to you, I had already done my research before posting that I knew about the likely 1-year ban, but I posted looking for someone who may have had a different experience, and some people just took the opportunity to tell me how SOL I am as if that were new and useful information... So I totally get it. Someone said something like "If you can't take the comments on VJ how are you going to handle the interview..." Ok, yeah, we all know the people at the consulate can be jerks, not sure why that means that we need to be too. Sorry, venting on your post, but anyways, thank you for posting. I'm aware that this doesn't necessarily mean good news for me but it is definitely giving me a little hope that things are not completely black and white and that we could have luck.

I looked at their timeline and it's not updated to interview so I'm thinking not. I truly know first hand how devastating this all can be then to add pregnancy on top... My heart goes out to you OP. PM me if you ever need to talk.
