She is going to have to try applying for a tourist Visa and meet the same requirements as everyone else but, because you are married, she may have a harder time proving ties to her country and will be denied. You may be going there or meeting in a third country for the next two years until the CR-1 is approved and she can come back permanently.

Counseling for the two of you and therapy for the depression for her. If she self harms or suicide attempts then dial 911 and let them handle it. Watch out for domestic abuse and violence charges since she had a bunch of bruises on her. I am speaking from experience on an ex-wife situation who is BPD and HPD.

My Fiance at her POE interview was asked when are you getting married. They want to know if if it's understood that they "have to" get married in 90 days. I'm not sure why so many people are having problems with this.  Just because someone didn't get asked the question doesn't mean it isn't asked. She was was also asked why she had so many gifts and snacks in her luggage but that is a different story.

OP. Update us after you talk to him please. I put no blame on the POE Officer for sending him back. It was 100% the right call given the answer he made. No wedding date and not sure if getting married or not was the absolute wrong answer on a K-1. I am very sorry to hear you are going through this and I suggest you think long and hard before making any more plans.

What your husband wants doesn't matter. You have the decision to keep his last name or not. You are within your rights to keep the name and you shouldn't notify USCIS. Just list "divorced" when you apply for naturalization in 5 years.

He's going to need the police records from his home country and the sooner the better. If the arrest is on there then you're also going to need the supporting documentation for the arrest record and court documents with final disposition. Politically motivated or not with statements from various organizations saying it was false can be part of the documentation and may or may not help your case but the police record is what it is and you can't change that fact. The good news a waiver wasn't required for the F1 and Tourist Visas.

It's certainly going to get some extra scrutiny. Most of the time doesn't qualify as co-habitation. She's just "visiting." Also, if she is there most of the time including nights and weekends then you are probably in violation of your lease and the landlord can kick you out or demand that your fiance pay back rent.

I can understand what you are saying. It is very difficult. My fiance needed extra time to finish up work and a number of other things. Moving across town or state is very different from moving country to country. Also, even though you want to start a life together quickly, you don't want to come across as emotional and needy. One observation I have is that you said you had some amazing vacations together. That can actually work against you. Those amazing vacations are far different than living a day to day life together. This is not going to be easy for either of you. It could very well be he's experiencing cold feet. He also may have realized that he doesn't get to live his life the way he wants to anymore with no one to interfere or judge . He has his own pace and he doesn't want people telling  him what to do or pressuring him.  He will need to take you into consideration every single day.  That can be a real problem for some people. Good Luck, I hope it works out.

He doesn't have one... you just check if it shows up there...
If there is a scan with your delivery name and address and you're registered and got the dashboard activated..it'll just show up once it's scanned at the first mail center.

Card Mailed notice today. If they sent priority it should arrive by Monday morning.  I'll be checking MyUSPS on the hour tonight to see if a shipping record shows up.

Enter the US in April with the K-1. The K-1 expires immediately. You have 90 days from entry date to get married. I suggest a quick civil wedding and then you can have your planned July ceremony. Apply for AOS, EAD and AP as right after your civil marriage and get your marriage certificate. Once he receives the AP then he can travel outside the US and return. OK, so far? OK the bad news. You're going to have to rethink the whole live in Sweden thing for 2+ years. If you are serious about this then you might consider scrapping the K-1, get married overseas, live in Sweden to your hearts content. Forget about green card for the time being.
