Got my citizenship interview - assume it'll be a combo - on 6/12

not sure why Dec filers are moving slower than Jan/Feb 2018...

@crazycat Just wait for alittle more before you take citizenship if it requires to give up ur home country, I thought about it for a long time, I'm glad that I waited..but now my concerns are getting a good job

Man, I think others are reading your post wrong. This isn't some bleeding heart dude - he has a legitimate reason for wanting to marry a Syrian woman - he's Syrian native! Dude, there is nothing wrong with wanting someone from a particular nationality/linguistic background. There are several thousand relationships that are started because someone wants to marry from their home country - nothing wrong with that at all.
Think about using the fiance visa. It's more money, in the long run, but may be shorter. When you are in Turkey, try to keep her in an apartment, but realistically, I think that is a bad idea. My real advice is to marry her in Turkey, live with her when you are there, and submit your spousal visa as soon as you qualify. Wait the time with her. Not unless you can afford your housing and a separate housing for her while you are engaged. You can submit a fiance visa while you are there, but proof of ongoing relationship is needed at the embassy interview stage.
Just know, that you won't be able to help out her family with a visa - she will need to do that after becoming US citizen; LPR visas are very limited, but you may be able to go that route too. So if you are paying family expenses while you two are together, make sure you can dedicate yourself to that for the entire time they need it.

I will post some tips on the letter.  We changed the address, but noticed the address change request on the ROC case number wasn’t completing (still said it would be assigned to an officer).  My husband received an email response AND a phone call from the interviewing officer that the interview would be combo.
 
 I will share the tips tonight when I am on my laptop.

Had my Oath Ceremony today. Can’t believe my immigration process is finally over. I am officially a U.S. citizen! (Should I mention I never received 2ns GC)
I think I feel empty inside because I got to use living with everyday checking status/mail/etc. I’m even not sure how to live without it lol

Thanks Amhara, In this case, according to the USPS office, the card was indeed delivered by the postal worker. What's sad about it is that this postal worker knows who we are and that we moved and still delivered it. I'm going to visit the old address tenants again today and see if they had any luck finding the letter. I'm thinking, because the card is showing as delivered, the USCIS will never get it back as undelivered.
I called USCIS today but they would only talk to the applicant and not the petitioner. I submitted a "card not received" inquiry and it stated they will let me know what happens by April 16th. This is a fine example of incompetence on different levels of governmental offices: USCIS failed to send the card to the updated address, USPS failed to confirm that the mail recipient was no longer at the address on the envelope. And I read somewhere that they do not forward mail for these type of documents (we have mail forward activated since we moved last May). Ad to the fact that the current tenants don't seem to be cooperating as much as I would expect

My husband's interview is scheduled for April 23rd, so that is about 49 days from when we received the notification.  The interview letter wasn't available on the DHS log in page this morning around 8 am, but was posted around 11:30 am.  Now it's time to get stuff printed and sent off!  Also time to get our tax return processed!
 
Here is a tip I would suggest to everyone - When you file your tax return, submit a paper copy to the USCIS with your latest transfer letter or NOA.  That way, you are providing more evidence, and it may result in the assigned adjudicator in picking up your file and processing it!  I was planning on trying this in April or May, but we will make sure to have a copy ready for the interview and will only send a letter requesting the file is worked with my husband's N400 petition.  
 
We are really excited because we are expecting to close on a house the end of this month, have his USC interview in April, might be able to oath in May, then he graduates in June!  Wow!  Keep it coming!

Hello! Just an update.. We're Dec 2017 filer.. My wife and I went to i751 interview yesterday with pending n400. The interview went very smoothly and officer was very nice & easygoing.. It only took 15 mins, officer said he will recommend for approval for i751 and we should be receiving a green card in 30 days. Also, he said we should receive a interview letter for n 400 soon. During the interview, he took my wife's conditional green card. As of today, online status still shows case was received at local office.. How long it takes to update online status ? Will they transfer our i751 back to Vermont for green card production ?

My case just transferred AGAIN for the second time  "On March 14 your form I-751 Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction" , I have N-400 interview next week so I am assuming they transferred to my local service center, but who knows

You should assume so that the interview will be a combo interview I-751/N-400.  Theoretically speaking, your files should have already been transferred to NBC then to your local office.  USCIS is nowhere near perfect as we all know by now so it is possible too that your I-751 file is not with your N-400 file (but the fact that it got transferred strongly indicates that it is).
 
I would definitely bring your spouse and 2018 tax (if you have it) with you on March 18.  [My educated opinion] Without 2018 tax, you could substitute with something like last year mortgage statements (quarterly is fine) or most recent year lease.  Basically something you can show that you have lived and continued to live with your spouse for the last three years.  That is one of the requirements for N-400 for those of us filing under a 3-year rule.
 
If you really want to know, you can get an infopass and the local office will be able to tell you definitely it both of your files are there.

Hey all, my husband's N400 interview has been scheduled.  We changed our address from Dallas, TX to Tucson, AZ on February 27th and today received the "Interview Scheduled".  Not sure for when the interview is yet, but I will update it when we find out.  Hoping it is in April.

Yes, we did it online the same day.  Strange thing is that the service request was completed for the N400 the next day in the uscis.gov profile, but the service request for the I751 is still showing as waiting for assignment, so it's not completed yet...
The local office interview is Tucson, Arizona.  I don't know if this will work, but when we get my husband's interview letter, we are going to send a copy of the ROC NOA & transfer letter (which just went from one Laguna Nigel office to another...) and hand write a letter with the case numbers for ROC & USC to request that the case gets transferred to the adjudicating officer.  We will send one letter to the ROC address and one letter to the address that might appear on the interview letter.  If no address is on the interview letter, then we will just send it to the outward facing field office address.
 
I think interviews are scheduled within a three to five weeks, so we will get working on the letters soon.  I haven't even submitted my change of address for the sponsor, so I better do that, too!  Again, I don't know if it would work, but at least some correspondence will give us a chance of a combo interview!  It will help me feel like we are accomplishing something rather than hoping that the officer knows what to do.
