    Hello Amhara,
Oh ok I get it now because on Part 3 no 1 is also counted as 1 so on number 7 total is 1. Ok this form was so confusing for me earlier. Thank you for enlighten me.

The copy you just received, I-797 is what you will submit with your AOS. They only need a copy so keep your original.

Box 7 of Part 3 should be the number of new family members the USC is sponsoring. So if it's just the foreign-born new spouse, the answer is 1. Yes, if it's just the two of you, the household size is two. However, in Part 5, box 1 should have "1" and box 3 should be blank. The boxes 2 through 8 are people that are NOT being sponsored on this form.
    No, K-1 applicant's don't complete the Form DS-260. We do the DS-160.
I think as long as you send them the official name change documents from the court, you don't need to change your passport before AOS. Your passport will need to be updated for foreign travel, but doesn't ever need to be changed if you won't use it again for it's official purpose. I haven't come across anything that says you need to have a foreign passport updated during the immigration process. I know we will update my fiance's passport when he gets here because he doesn't have a last name at this time. When we send in his AOS, he will have a changed name, so I've looked into this scenario. But let me know if you find something different!

    Thespoons,
Hello, I had my wedding in July 17. after 10 days it require me in CA to apply for the marriage certificate. I downloaded the form online and filled it up. Mailed it to them on 7/29/15. They said it takes 3 to 5 days to process so hopefully I can get it by next week. At the same time I am starting to fill up all the forms for AOS application while waiting for the marriage cert. What are you confused of the documents for filing the AOS? I think the one more confusing is the I-864 application which is the Affidafit of support. I have a question on Part 3. Information on immigrants you are petitioning. Question no 1. I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 so my answer is YES. after that Family Member from 1 to 5 are all N/A. then question no 7. Enter the total number of immigrants you are sponsoring on this form from Items 1 through 6 so my answer is 0 right? Then on Part 5. Sponsor's household size. I put a 1 on Question no. 2 which is myself and 1 on no Question no 3 which is "If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse" so on Question no 8. "Add together lines 1-7 and enter the number here. Household size: " I put 2 right? I don't know if you are already on that part.
Here are my guides for the AOS application:

Do you know that you can get the tax transcripts now online. You don't have to call IRS just to get a copy.

I think you are sending a bit too much, do you not meet poverty guidelines? If you do, all you need to send is employment verification and bank statements, the rest is not needed,

Yeh, this is "overkill".,., just as previous poster said.
As for legal documents, ""certified copies"" are fine, keep your originals!

    Everything sounds right.
For #12 You may include the net value of your home as an asset. The net value of the home is the appraised value of the home, minus the sum of any and all loans secured by a mortgage, trust deed, or other lien on the home. Only assets that can be converted into cash within one year and without considerable hardship or financial loss to the owner may be included.
That said, I love overkill. Nothing beats going to your interview knowing that you are prepared for anything. But if meeting #12 is too much trouble, you'll be fine without it.

i can only assume that your gal was an OFW that worked in S. Korea. Yes, she is going to need a PC from SK. If she has worked in any other countries and has stamps in her passport from the countries she is going to need a PC from each of these countries. My gal was an OFW and had worked in 3 different countries and she needed PCs from each of these countries.
    Best of luck!

The instructions from your consulate state they are needed > http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf
OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for six (6) months or more after reaching age 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Country-specific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department’s website at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html.

Don't worry too much for the NOA2 since it doesnt mean that the NVC has your case yet. The NVC will send you a Welcome Letter with the instructions you need to follow. I had terrible problems with the letters, each one taking a month to make it to my home (my husband in the U.S had his letters on time).
I did not wait for any hard copies, I worked with the electronic versions. Example: as soon as I received the email from the NVC that my papers were sent to the Embassy in my country I created my profile at ustravel.docs, as soon as the system showed I was able to make an appointment I did, that appointment confirmation is what you need for your medical and then consulate. Long story short, my letter indicating me to schedule my appointment made it home 1 week after I had my interview at the consulate. That letter took almost a month to make it to my home.
    Good luck

You should already received the NOA1 hard copy after they received your I129f package. It only takes a week or two weeks. Same as with the NOA2 after being approved.give them a call. Another thing is You will need the NOA1 and NOA2 for adjustment of status.

Just print the NOA2 that you received electronically. Postal mail can take quite a while to arrive from USCIS.

You can check your case status online at USCIS.gov. Status probably shows it was mailed, in which case you should receive the hard copy within 30 days.
If you need a document re-sent, use the online application.
    https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDDForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndd
In the meantime, you do not need to wait for NOA2. The local embassy website (where you will schedule for interview), should have instructions on what you need to do next.
