My wife was scheduled at 3:30 pm and still got the Oath on same day. I'm guessing it's just based on how the office feels that day.

Oh I'm sure they are able to do same day Oath if later. I was just thinking since it's before 8am I would have plenty of time to run over and register to vote and deal with all if that stuff.

Yea I know some offices are doing that. There hasn't been any posts about interview experiences in the DC office lately. But I heard some people who got interviewed before got their Oath scheduled pretty quickly(couple days to a week later), so I think it's possible they might start doing the same day Oath.

I'll keep an eye on over in the DC thread. Fingers crossed and thank you for keeping my hopes up about voting this election!

FWIW, my myuscis also says “we are taking longer than expected....”.   .... 7 months after I naturalized. So I don’t know how accurate that statement always is!

My daughter’s (filed in Dec2019) estimated case completion is the same it has been all along. Mine was dead accurate (I know not all are) and she is at the same FO, but I somehow can’t believe there has been no impact from Covid.

We'll see. I hope it's just because it reached 0 but no one at the office has done anything to it yet. My office should function relatively normal. We're supposed to enter phase 3 of re-opening on July 1st and our cases of covid hasn't skyrocket so... We'll see. It still says I'll be done by September so fingers crossed. Thanks for the info, keeps my hopes up! :)

  3. Annoying. I managed to get my hopes up about being done by September as it says on MyUSCIS page. It went from a 20 day waiting time to 10 in just a few days. Today was day 0 and I guess the day I would receive my interview date. Now it just says "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time." Guess I'll go back to not checking my status again.

You can input a case number into the online case status website and it will show you the status of the case, even if it's not your case. Some neurotic people actually check the case numbers of cases submitted around the same time as theirs by tinkering with the last number or two and plugging in other numbers and seeing if others who submitted applications around the same time have gotten approved.

There is no "two factor authentication" to check the case status on the USCIS website.

I know but she mentioned she actually called USCIS who does require you to verify that you are who you say you are. They should have noticed that the name, A number and home address she told them did not match up with the case number she gave them.

My visajourney finally came to an end today. :) I took my oath this morning at a local elementary school. There were 70 of us, from 35 different countries. The ceremony itself lasted approx. 2 hours, however, the applicants were required to arrive 1.5 hours early before the start time for submission of questionnaire that came with N-445 oath letter, seat assignment etc.

From start to finish, the N400 process took less than 3 months. For those of you waiting, just hang tight. You are almost there. Wish you all the best!

    Congratulations!!! 😄

  6. My estimate changed from August to September, really hoping it's not getting worse. I'm really looking forward to voting this year. Only good news it that now I don't have to worry about my trip to Sweden this summer and being home before the interview.

By the way does anyone else have issues with the Case Tracker app? Mine changes between not able to check my application to being actively reviewed several times a day for the last 3-4 days? It is getting pretty annoying with all the notifications.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Oh but I dont know online how to get the NOA, so I will have to wait for Mail. Right?

Why not just ask how? It's super easy. Log into your MyUSCIS account and you have your case number right there. You'll see a documents tab and there's where all your letters from USCIS will appear. It will take about 2-3 days for the NOA to show up under the documents tab.

If you don't want to do that then yes, just wait for the paper to show up in the mail.
