Ouch! Looks like it effects 3 people on the spreadsheet in this thread.
Only 2 actually. I rescheduled mine prior to the executive order because I'm done in Florida for the holidays.

what’s everyone’s estimated case completion time according to the uscis account page?
Anyone applying from Chicago?Mine is August 2020 though I am rescheduling my bio appointment so it will most likely change to a later date.

Decided to not attempt an early walk-in. There's just too much at work between now and the 20th. Mailed in my request for re-scheduling today. Will post an update with my new date when it arrives. Not in a hurry anyway

Thank you. I have one more question; I am applying on the basis of being married to a US citizen for 3 years, but most of the questions ask for a 5-year history; employment, addresses, trips taken outside the US, etc- should I provide only the history of the 3 years I have lived in the US or the whole 5 years including the 2 years that I wasn't here?
I only did 3 years for both employment and travel.

His visa says no and from the DOS website I think he isn't.
It says on the website that some people whose visa says "not subject to the 2 year homestay rule" still have an issue and need a waiver. From what I read though, I don't think that would apply to him.
He's just a very cautious person so I'm investigating.
So far haven't seen one need a waiver if they are not subject to the 2 year rule but I could be wrong of course.

Does a past j-1 visa status affect k-1 visa probability?
My fiancé had a j-1 visa last year. It was self funded and his visa says "not subject to the 2 year home stay rule". None of the 3 conditions listed on the department of state website apply to him. He had no problems with entry or leaving with the j1 visa.
He read something about someone (1 person who posted about their embassy experience on here) who had a j1 visa in the past being denied and it made him nervous bc it wasn't clear if the j-1 visa negatively affected the decision or if it was something else.
So, does a past j-1 visa status affect k-1 visa probability? Does it decrease your chances of getting a k-1 visa?
I was here on both a J1 and an F1 before my K1 and had no issues. Was your friend subject to the 2 year home rule?

How long did the whole process take? We'll see, I work at a school and it's close to winter break so we'll see if I can sneak away or not.

Try a walk-in biometric at your local office....
I don't want to risk taking a morning off from work and the office tells me they can't accommodate me that day.

No My attorney requested to see if I have a clean record but they provided me a list so I need to get 2 passport pict, copy of GC, copy of Passport and clearance letter from Police ☹️
If you know you have a clean record that sounds like a waste of time and money.

Yeah it might be different if you call. Last time we just ticked the box on the paper because I was out of the country.

Im actually thinking of rescheduling mine on the 24th! Haha. So i can have reasons to get off work 3 days in a row😂😂.
You can't pick dates though right? Last time I did I just got assigned a different date.

USCIS have scheduled my biometrics appointment for 11am on Christmas Eve. Going to have to reschedule as I'm going to be down in Florida. What the heck USCIS it's Christmas!? Lol.

Did u guys have to provide a police letter also?
If the instructions says you need to because you answered yes on any of the questions regarding arrests etc then you need to. If you have never gotten in trouble with the law then you don't.

Good for you guys My window is December 30th I will be the last one in this group 😭
Think positive: this is the last step. When this is over you don't have to deal with USCIS again

So we all filers in December will have their BIO in January right?
Hopefully yes though I wouldn't be surprised if some of us end up in February due to Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Years etc.

Yes as per the instructions you can add another piece of paper and you should add any trip where you were outside the US for more than 24 hours.
-
So two options:
1. Stay in Canada for a bit longer.
2. Come to the US, get married, apply for AOS and wait for case number and then get emergency advance parole. You can get the emergency advance parole same day you apply for it. But the whole process of getting married, apply for AOS and wait for case number will definitely take weeks.
