Its not that big of a deal because you filed 864A as family member and now you are not part of household so you will not be entirely liable for immigrant. Yes you can pursue legal action for forgery but at immigration level, you will go through lots of hassel to prove your point.

Kada imas zakazan intervju, posaljes email i pitas dali moze zena doci sa tobom. Ma dozvolit ce to, nismo pakistan.

Very nice for you, but have a thought for all us unlucky people who paid the same money as you, but because of the State the petitioner lives in gets sent to the Texas Centre, where we have to sit in a back log of 6 months or more. So you put yours in June and it only took a month. Ours went in on Feb 19th 2015, (4 months before you) and we have heard nothing and probably won't until September. So next time share your delight maybe on a Californian forum, because reading it makes me fell so angry.

What phone company do you have? Some phone companies send customers personal towers called AirRaves. These will have their own phone number but the numbers are not actually numbers you can call. Other things like tablets may also be given what seems like a phone number but not really. In other words, phone companies use phone numbers like account numbers. If you're in doubt, call the number. In any event, you should feel empowered to ask your husband questions. I mean, what are you afraid of? Just ask!

I want to share some experience with everyone going through the grinder at NVC which might help some,
As background, I was granted an expedite (through NVC) by my consulate which required only that I pay my fees and submit the DS260. Things bogged down. I was told 60 days... blah, blah, blah. My case went to a supervisors review. They did finally find the missing form, and as a result I was calling back to thank my supervisor (and the rep) for her hard work and we chatted for 20 min or so (it was an enlightening conversation). It was eye-opening to connect with someone on the other side and it prompted me to share.
Here are my two cents worth of advice and observation:
NVC processing:
- To begin with, for crying out loud, read and reread Saylin's wiki on the process. She is the patron saint of the NVC process and continues to help us out of the goodness of her heart. She is up to date and often chimes in on this forum. She is a goddess.
- Once you understand the process and are complying, you will have to wait. Yes, sixty days... It stinks, I understand. But calling again and again hoping for some other information will do you little good. The reps and the supervisors will NOT tell you anything else, even when they are attempting to look into or fix your issue. They simply aren't allowed. For instance, the supervisor would still only give me the '60 days' spiel, even though she was able to get back to me an hour later with a case complete.
- If you are following the wiki, you will know when something doesn't seem right and it is time to call and verify. If a deadline has passed, call.... If they tell you documents are missing that you KNOW were included, call....
- NVC presently appears to be a little short of qualified supervisors, and the caseload on them is tremendous. But if something is amiss in your case. Ask for a supervisor's review if you can't speak directly to one. It will take a few days, and they don't always contact you. Follow up with a call to see if the review was completed.
- I cannot stress this enough: I know how strung out we all are during this and how rude some of the reps are, but stay calm and polite (and persistent). They are human too and are actually more sympathetic than it appears on our end. But, they are overwhelmed and hamstrung by a broken immigration system, consulate bullying and a plethora of rules and regulations. Nevertheless, don't let a rep bully you. Call back for a different rep if you are being handled rudely.
A word on 'expediting'
- If you feel your situation qualifies for an expedite (and not just because you are you and a wonderful human being, which you are of course ). I suggest you take your time composing your request. You should briefly, yet factually, lay out your case without embellishing it with too much emotional overtone. I cannot stress how important it is to then back the request up with paperwork (in PDF format). A good paper-trail is a bureaucrat's friend. You want the consulate to have every shred of evidence when it considers your request.
- If you are granted an expedite, you now enter a grey area (for NVC as well sometimes) and there is no wiki! Pay attention to what your response letter/email states you need to do next. Don't hesitate to call NVC to get direction (though each rep may have a different story). It was only once I read my expedite email word for word to the rep that she put my case up for a supervisor review. Remember: polite and persistent!!
- Please, if you get an expedite, don't brag here. So many deserving people have been waiting and suffering for ages at NVC. On the flip-side, please don't pester someone as to why they got an expedite, or begrudge them if they get one. It can be incredibly personal.
I know this is a long-winded post, but I hope my experience and advice can help some of you now being ground up by the slow gears of NVC. Eventually we will all be spit out. I hope everyone has a smooth exit.

OP no judgment but why would you take your kid into situation that theres abuse causing
cops to come out. The criminal history usually is not a biggie for USC, however with a child
involved it may be an issue, studies shows abusers eventually abuse the kids too especially
when the kid is not theirs & sticks up for mommy...Think before you do that to your child.

things is sorted out or you have left the relationship then you petition your kid, after all you
did leave him and is here, waiting another 15 mths are so should not be hard You can visit

and take your documents with you, he will continue to beat & oppress you, the shelter will help
you find work, and how to obtain a divorce, with a job you can start on your own, get into
a church, join the library, make friends but get out B4 you are dead. DONT have him petition
your child, wait to do that when you are out

You mentioned 3. That's hardly many. Few months back the same kind of post was made of Nigerian men. On any given day you can find any nationality post about their cheatin husband or wife, American or otherwise. It happens.
Your question really should be "why do people who say they love you cheat on you"? Irrespective of nationality.

Hello VJ friends, it has been a while since I've been on this site. Anyways, after 7 checklists, yes, 7 checklists, from NVC in regards the Affidavit of Support, and going 3 times to my local congressman's office (which by the way, didn't help anything) I took it upon on myself to put on the boxing gloves and deal with NVC. I spent 4 hours and finally got through, and talk to one of the many LAZY BUMS that work at NVC. I have called several times before and tried to talk to a supervisor, but there was never "one available at this time" for my luck. Anyways, this particular time I called, and I said that I was recording them for legal purposes (I WAS BLUFFING, LOL) and that I just needed them to know. I proceeded, and I explained the girl on the phone the reason why I was calling for, and since she couldn't help me, I demanded to talk to a supervisor. She put a SUPERVISOR ON!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT, BUT THERE I WAS, talking to a supervisor about my problem. That same day in the afternoon, I got a message that says, "ALL DOCUMENTATION NESSESARY TO COMPLETE THE NATIONAL VISA CENTER'S PROCESSING OF YOUR CASE HAS BEEN RECEIVED" I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS 8 MONTHS AGO! So people, now you know The national visa center, doesn't want the media to know how nasty they are to people, so the minute they know that they are being recorded, they want to help you. BTW, that was last week.... Good luck to you all..

You can call them, tell them that you want to check if they have received the docs
If yes, ask them what is the scan date
They can actually tell you both dates; mail received (mail receipt), documents received (scan date)
i.e.
our mail date was 05/21 ( Rep said.. we received mail from you on 05/21)
scan date 05/27 ( we received your civil and AOS documents on 05/27)

Is your DS261 reviewed or not? Call NVC and dont ask them anything.. Ask them to review your DS-261. In that way you can get the IV fee invoice.
Have you got the payment confirmation from NVC? If not then no use of waiting. Pay online for now. You can use all other proofs to get a refund, but it may take years.
For us it happened in the IV fee, I tried all options nothing worked out. So paid again as we dont want to delay the process.
Only those got the fee payment confirmation got the status changed in the system.
