Wait, I'm confused with OP's AOS dates and N-400 filing.
AOS
Interview Date: 2015-09-22
Approval/Denial Date: 2016-01-08
Citizenship
Date Filed: 2018-08-13
NOA Date: 2018-08-14
Between I-485 approval and N-400 filing, ~33 months (3 years - 90 days) had not passed yet. Or was AOS actually approved near Oct 2015 and not in Jan 2016?
My 2 year GC was approved in November 2015 but I did not receive it until January 2016.
Therefore I was eligible to apply for N-400 in August 2018

I became a US Citizen last month and would like to bring my Mom to the US. I am not sure where to start as most information seems to be about bringing a spouse or child. Is there an instruction guide specifically for this? How long is the current processing times? Can anyone point me in the direction of resources? Thank you in advance.

Hi all, I haven't been on this forum in quite some time but this is where I got the most support back in my K1 visa days so I felt it was fitting to return today and share that we are DONE with our immigration journey! I had my N400 interview on 2/6 and they asked me to return two hours later for my oath ceremony. I wanted to let you all know, whatever stage of the journey you are at, that despite how stressful and frustrating this process is, it is so worth it when you attend that oath ceremony and hear everyones stories from such a vast range of different countries. It was such an emotional day for me.
Anyway, I wish you all, all the luck in the world! Thank you to the VJ community for being a part of our journey! I couldn't have done it without you all and I made some friends for life on this forum!

My interview is Wednesday! I am so nervous!

Haven't posted in forever but anyway, I'm back! Two weeks ago, in the same week I got a letter saying my i-751 case had been transferred (to MO) and a letter saying my N400 interview is scheduled for February 6th at my local field office! So confusing!

Had my biometrics on Thursday, it was uneventful. They gave me a booklet and audio CD regarding the naturalization test.
My online case status updated shortly after and estimated completion moved from August 2019 to July 2019.

Also, if anyone wants to see where they are in relation to other n400 timelines without scrolling through the huge long messages with the slashes, check out this link:
http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=Online&op7=All&op1=6&op2=&op4=1&op5=5%2C10%2C11&cfl=0(You can tweak the options at the bottom for filing online/in paper etc).
This is SO helpful! Thank you!
My online portal is estimating August 2019 however this timeline indicates most people are processed through my local office in 5-6 months...

oh really he can? i thought he need it the stamp 551
If the extension letter is still valid, or he has the new 18 month extension letter, he can travel.
If the extension letter has also expired, then he needs the stamp.

Has anyone applied for their graduate degree stateside with their ten year green card and/or citizenship pending? Any and all information shared would be appreciated!
I'd also love to hear if anyone used US student loans to do so!

I believe I read somewhere on here that they are phasing out the old case tracker website, in favour of the new system
Ooo good to know!

Yeah, that's where N-400 is filed online. it is kinda confusing because uscis also seems to have a separate login. What's interesting is that in the N-400 form, it asks if the applicant has an account already.......
Yes I noticed this too
The original account I had for tracking my applications did not have an account number associated with it, therefore I selected "no" on having an account already on my N400 application.
Subsequently, the account generated from my N400 application does seem to be different from the login I already had/the page I already had used previously.
Bizarre!

Can we apply to citizenship before we receive our new GC?
Yes. Lots of us have, including myself. Check out the naturalization forum for more info.

Good news to see some CSC filers getting the extension letter. I hope mine comes soon.
