  1. I had a similar experience where I was at school during the year living at one place and then somewhere else working over the summers.

I included every address.  Yes it created more work and was a bit of a hassle.  But I didn't want to leave any gaps in my timeline.  Better to give the proper information rather than to leave anything out.  Especially since he was in different countries.

  2. We personally didn't have any.... Though I do have friends that did submit one or two with their application.

-We opened a new bank account that was ok with me not having a social and submitted that as a "joint bank account"

-Worked on putting both our names on our utility accounts and any other bills.

    -Insurance

-Adding my name to my husband's work "emergency contact information."

perhaps if you're not able to put both your names on the actual lease, if you found something addressed that shows you both live at the same address... that my help?

I've heard of some writing up a will to have as evidence as well.

    Best of luck :)

  3. It's my understanding that USCIS considers photos as "secondary evidence."  Good, and needed, but primary evidence (receipts, boarding passes, bank statements showing purchases while visiting...basically anything with your name and date attached to it.) are what carry a bit more weight in the evidence of meeting.

I didn't send a whole lot of photos in my application.  The photos I focused on were ones with us interacting with each other's family/community.  But I sent EVERYTHING that I could find that had a name/date on it.

At the end of the day, I am curious as to why your case was denied as well.  Please touch base with us when you hear back from USCIS.

When you get the green card, you need to go to the Social Security Bureau and get an unrestricted card.

Also, i just got off the phone with USCIS and they said that the extension is valid until the date of the extension notice and not the date on the card. If this is correct, you are out of status and need to make an appointment at the local office asap.

I also didn't realize you needed to update your Social..... oh dear.

    LOL so many steps!

  5. Congratulations on your approval of your K1 :):):)

Once you cross the boarder and have married, you will then begin to prepare for your "adjustment of status"

In regards to drivers license... I believe different states have different procedures.  I couldn't get my drivers license until I had my green card (California)

    Best of luck :)

  6. My K1 medical was pretty much a joke.  They checked my height, weight, eyesight, blood pressure.  They spent more time asking questions like if I was pregnant/had ever taken drugs/etc.

Basically I kept all my clothes on (unless you count the X-ray...) and it was suuuuuuper simple.  I'm not sure if that's the case for everyone else but it was my experience.  Wayyyy easier than I thought.

Texas comes under CSC so your package should stay in the same service center.

However to cover your bases, I'd suggest you have someone trustworthy keep an eye on any mail addressed to you in the old address. Maybe a word to the new tenants would help? I say this because we read stories of applicants submitting their change of address on time and USCIS has still sent mail in former addresses. I don't mean to scare you but it has happened and you should be aware.

I've heard of the same thing happening :/

It's why I want to make 100% sure I cover my bases.
