SincerelyMeike got a reaction from Alex&Irina in Proof of Communication over 5000 pages
My fiance and I have literally 2 years worth of conversations, plus the year of when we lived together before we were separated. We talk and texted A LOT. 24/7.
If I would have had to print out 10,000+ pages if i need all my conversations.
However!! I just went through all of the conversations and picked out one lovey dovey conversation we had with each other for the month. Literally one or two screen shots per month.
Saved me a buttload of money, and proved that we talked all the time.
Plus I sent a screen shot of every skypecall we had that also had the time of call listed next to it (you know when you hang up?).
So, to put it all together. One conversation per month, from facebook messenger, viber, skype, whatsapp, and sms. Plus a complete list of every phonecall ever made to one another on regular phone call, viber, and skype!
Drastically reduces the amount you need to print out.

SincerelyMeike got a reaction from tamcloud in Fiance moving before interview, after NOA2
Hi! The exact same thing happened to me, I had to move from Trinidad to Germany after I had applied. My case got sent to Trinidad, so I had my lawyer contact the Trinidad and German embassy. What had to be done was, contact the German embassy and the Trinidad embassy to inform them both about what was going on. The German embassy then had to email the Trinidad embassy and request the case file transfer. Once the Trinidad embassy received the email, they sent it over to Germany and Germany sent us a conformation email that they had received the case. The case file number ABC2015656123 stayed the same. Hope this helps!!

I honestly wouldn't mind paying a higher fee if that means we can get processed in a timely manner...

Seriously. K-1's hardly get processed any faster than CR-1's unless you are one of the lucky few who get processed at csc. You have no basis or right to say that your relationship matters more than my relationship with my fiancé simply because you are married. If you're looking for pity you aren't going to get any because you're knit picking things just to find something to complain about to make yourself feel good. Many k-1 couples have children, many k-1 couples live or had lived together before filing. Many couples have been torn apart. It is just as easy to fake a CR-1 visa as it is to fake a K-1 visa. Every single person on this website feels sadness and grief because we ALL miss our loved ones. K-1 visas are not more important than CR-1 visas. Many many people filing K-1's end up waiting even longer than CR-1 visas. You have no right to think or even say that we are less worthy of being with our fiances.

Wooooahhhh... Either he's throwing a seriously sever temper tantrum or he's actually been super awesome at hiding his true behaviors from you for however long you all have been dating.
I still think he's just throwing a tantrum expecting money and his friends to fall from the sky.
I really have no advice on how to make things better for you. The acceptance really has to come from within himself. What is it exactly that he likes/wants? Maybe you can show him those things and he might begin to open up.
For me personally, after I left the US and lived in Germany for some time I absolutely hated it because of the area I was living in. I couldn't get the things I once used to be able to buy so easily, like cooking wise. Little things like being upset that they never carried make up to suit someone who isnt a pink undertone blah blah blah.
Then one day, I visited my friends house who was also American. I saw how she had everything set up and I fell in love with the city area she lived in. That's when I decided to move there, and because I saw that she made it work I decided I could make it work too. I really had to force myself to see all the positives instead of the negatives. Eventually it just happened and I began liking Germany. I mean to this day there is still a few things I don't really like, but it no longer bothers me the way it used to. I'm also pretty certain when I get back the US, there is going to be things about the US that bothers me because it's different to the now Germany that I like.
I really really hope you all get this fixed, because so many people here let go of the relationship because it's so hard in the beginning. I hope he comes around.
Like to me, he reminds me of those kids that try to do their absolutely worst to hurt their parents who just got divorced.

I've lived in many countries growing up, constantly having to leave my friends and family behind. My fiance also came to live with me for a while in a country that wasn't america, so I'm really well versed from both sides.
Some people just deal with change better than others. I get agitated by everything that isn't how it is back home, my fiance is enthralled by everything that isn't how it is back home. (For both of us the US is home)
Also, living in other countries you also gain a lot of expat friends whom also complain about living in another country.
All I can say is, wait it out. I must say he really is being a little bit selfish, you do seem like you're going the extra mile for him, but there is nothing you can do. He needs to open himself up to the change. He has all his friends, all his family, everything he's ever really known in Cuba. Like another poster said, in Cuba they have a completely different view of what american life is like, so that might be polluting him from fully accepting anything. Think of it this way, would you like to live in North Korea?
It really just sounds to me like he's throwing a temper tantrum, but hopefully it will all blow over soon. Just remember, this is hard for both of you, not him. Try to make him understand how his obnoxious public tantrums are making you feel.
South florida has a strong cuban community with AMAZING cuban food Maybe a trip to FL might do y'all some good!

SincerelyMeike got a reaction from AKN2 in I don't want spouse to get 10year GC.. options?
I honestly fail to realize how having a house, a car, and money in the Philippines is a bad thing. Really..? Can someone possibly explain this from his point of view?
There is so much awesomeness out of owning your own things.
1) Whenever you travel to the Philippines you always have a place to stay and a way to get around.
2) Her kids will always have a home.. They won't end up on the streets.
3) You can Airbnb that shiz out. $$$$$$$$$$$$
4) Its friggen equity. You own it. It's yours. You'll never end up homeless.
So what if she has a savings in the Philippines..? So what if her kids don't want to come live in the US..? How exactly is that hindering you all from living and loving each other every day?

Why can you not just both sit yourselves down and talk about getting a divorce? Talk about how you would do things?
VJ is not your wife, and you can't predict what will happen through VJ. You say you need to protect yourself yada yada, if you've been this insecure your entire marriage then no wonder your marriage is failing.
Just talk to her and have some trust man.. Not that hard really. Maybe if you learn to trust each other you won't end up getting divorced.

Technically not supposed to deny an entry based on expired petition.... but apparently someone was.... so as a safeguard everyone now recommends to ask for extension of petition as well (embassy does the extension)

SincerelyMeike reacted to FabtheFab in I don't want spouse to get 10year GC.. options?
Honestly, your story doesn't matter. I'm not against you. I am all for you protecting your assets and yourself from this divorce.
I have been through a costly and long divorce before myself. However, given how the US immigration system works, there isn't much you can do to stop her from staying legally if she really wants to.
Other than all the money wasted on my divorce, the one valuable lesson I learned from it was that I had to let go.
Focus on getting a good divorce settlement for yourself. Worrying about stopping her from staying in the US legally is mostly a waste of your time and energy.
-
SincerelyMeike reacted to FabtheFab in I don't want spouse to get 10year GC.. options?
If she really wants to stay, she would probably apply for VAWA and not need your signature for the i-751. Since your relationship has been bonafide, there would be nothing you could do to stop her from staying legally.
That's why my humble opinion is that you probably should try to divorce her amicably, and forget about her immigration status. If she wants to stay, that's her problem.

SincerelyMeike reacted to gw68ad78 in I don't want spouse to get 10year GC.. options?
Not being holier than thou but why should your divorce and spousal obligation be any different than if you were divorcing a USC? Life is short. If you're absolutely sure that your marriage is dead and there's no revival then suck it up, cut your losses and move on so you can put this chapter behind you. You don't want to drag this out and prevent you from looking to your future. Wasted years and bitterness is more costly than a few dollars...but yea man it's up to her whether she wants to stay.
