    Hi everyone
I took the Oath this morning and am now a USC

    Only took 18 years lol.

The Buffalo office is doing 10 people per hour to keep everyone apart by at least 6 feet.

The whole thing took about an hour but most of that was waiting for the other people to check in.

the Oath itself took 5 minutes and I was home by 10am

Now I’m off to the passport forum!

Best of luck to you all!

The statement makes me hopeful that my wife and I will get our ceremony done but as already said, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. As we're all seeing, this virus situation is day to day, minute to minute even.

    Congratulations!

My county has is 2nd case and has just declared a state of emergency but my ceremony isn't at the court house, its a special one held at a theater. I'm thinking it would normally hold more people but who knows...its still 2 weeks aways

It's with shock and happiness that I report I am now a CITIZEN of the USA. My oath ceremony took place in NYC today (Federal Plaza). They did say however that this was going to be the "last ceremony until further notice" (at that location) in reference to the coronavirus situation. The ceremony for 150 people was abbreviated (much shorter than usual) and no friends/family were allowed in the room. So while it's not clear what is going to be happen in the weeks ahead with regards to oath ceremonies at Federal Plaza (Manhattan), today was a good test run for how to successfully conduct a modified oath ceremony which still ticks all the boxes!  I am hopeful they will find a way to keep ceremonies going without cancelling or delaying them outright - at least in that particular location.

Respond by resubmitting the i-485 by using the current version of the form, along with a copy of your notice. That's all you should have to do.

@N400NYC: one person in my fb group attended their oath ceremony today in Syracuse, NY. It was a court house ceremony with only 50 oath takers though. The judge said due to the coronavirus they changed some rules. Not sure what was changed.

    I passed!!
Even the most nerve wracking part was driving to Nashville. They had two tornadoes hitting last night and interstates where closed. Took me two hours longer to get here, but I still made it on time.
after checking in, I had to wait about 30 minutes.
at the interview he first asked me to take the oath. Then I had to read a sentence (something along the lines of: the people where first) and write: Presidents’ Day is in February (On a Tablet with a pen). He then asked 6 questions (senator terms, federalist paper authors, second in command after president, and the rest I already forgot). Lastly we went thru the application. Checking the name, time outside of the us (made a correction) all the Y/N questions and a few more in depth questions about my military service and the weapons training.
i signed of on all the changes (tablet) signed the application (paper) and that I am willing to take the oath (tablet).
While he was scanning the one paper I signed and added it to the file, we talked about Switzerland and that I was his first Swiss applicant ever. And then I was already out the door. Next ceremony in town is April 15. So I expect to be there.

The documents he wanted to see: GC Drivers license and passport. All my other documents were not needed

    Hi all,

I had my interview today in Charlotte, North Carolina. Super easy and quick, took only about 15 minutes!!
Asked questions from N-400 form (current job, where you traveled abroad, spouse's birthday)
Civics test (only asked 6 questions as I answered correctly), writing test - one sentence; reading test - one sentence.
    Security, criminal history questions, etc.

That's it! They give you a paper that you passed a test and advised you to approve. She said it will take about 2 weeks for a letter to arrive via mail with oath instructions and all. I am super excited!!!!

I hope you guys all will have your interviews / approvals soon!!!

My visajourney finally came to an end today.  I took my oath this morning at a local elementary school. There were 70 of us, from 35 different countries. The ceremony itself lasted approx. 2 hours, however, the applicants were required to arrive 1.5 hours early before the start time for submission of questionnaire that came with N-445 oath letter, seat assignment etc.

From start to finish, the N400 process took less than 3 months. For those of you waiting, just hang tight. You are almost there. Wish you all the best!

    Buffalo field office update

Monday, my wifes interview took place. Took about 20 minutes at most. (My own is scheduled for tomorrow)

My atty, spoke to the staff on Monday and they said, 'since I was already there, I could do my interview instead of coming back, 3 days later. Luckily I was fully prepared and had all my docs and paperwork.
However, at the last minute (it was end of the day) they changed their minds, which was frustrating.

So, I am 'supposed' to go tomorrow but NOW...there is a flipping winter storm and the office might be closed..

I know my case had been a lot faster than most of yours, but it is ever so frustrating to have the appointment for tomorrow but changed due to snow.....

    We will see tomorrow.

On the plus side, my wifes oath ceremony is scheduled for March 26th. She passed!
