Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from YafaUSA in Passed N-400/I-751 combined interview...
I went to Omaha today for my N-400/I-751 interview (although they never actually said they were combining the two interviews). Interview took just over 30 minutes. Got the first six questions right along with the first sentences in the reading and writing parts. Then I was asked some general questions about my I-751 application mostly they were reviews of the evidence that had been submitted. The IO said I passed and was recommending my N-400 application for approval pending quality review. She said my oath ceremony will be sometime this summer in Lincoln. Almost finished!!

Moustafa/Crystal reacted to sirius in N-400 March 2018 Filers
Had my oath ceremony today. It was a nice affair in Detroit. I went and applied for a passport right after so I can travel.
I guess this is the end of my visa journey. Its been quite a trip but thanks to visajourney & all the people who travelled along the way, I certainly couldn't have done this alone.
Wish you all the best on your journey. Peace.

Glad to hear that. The 821 might be a glitch since USCIS has been upgrading its system. You are absolutely right on track, regards.

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from Lovetoteach in N-400 March 2018 Filers
Hi All! I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my interview scheduled for May 24, 2018. I mailed my initial package to Phoenix on March 1, 2018. Then I got my biometrics done in Omaha the last week of March. I scheduled an infopass appointment for tomorrow to get my stamp since my 751 extension letter is expiring and they have not adjudicated that yet...actually I have not heard anything on that for over a year. Then a couple days after that I got a letter in the mail scheduling my interview May 24th, The only thing that showed up online was that my 821 had been approved, but I never applied for an 821....so I guess we will find out what is going at the infopass appointment. Anyway it looks like naturalization is moving faster than green card renewal.

Moustafa/Crystal reacted to cyclone27 in Applying for Naturalization while waiting for Removal of Conditions
No stories just facts - application window opens up for N400 based on marriage 90days before 3yr LPR anniversary and you met your 3yr marriage anniversary.

Moustafa/Crystal reacted to azblk in Applying for Naturalization while waiting for Removal of Conditions
This is not entirely correct if the OPs removal of conditions is delayed by uscis processing and the are now eligible to file N400 they can. In fact it’s commonly used to force a decision on removal of conditions

You are saying the same thing so therefore cyclone27's statement is correct.

Moustafa/Crystal reacted to Dashinka in Applying for Naturalization while waiting for Removal of Conditions
We had a debate about this a few weeks ago. As the other responses have said, you can file the N400 90 days prior to the 3 year anniversary date of the initial GC based on marriage as long as you meet all the other requirements even if the ROC is still in process. The big question is how the clock is sort of reset on the ROC when you do this. It is my understanding that if the ROC is in process and the N400 is filed, then the packages are sort of combined and processed by the local field office that serves you. In this case one would have to follow the timing for the N400 for the local field office as they will be doing both. In our case, we did file the N400; our ROC was filed last December and CSC is currently processing packages from August, but the Detroit Office is processing N400s from June, so we would add about 2-3 months to the timing, but in the end we decided N400 was the ultimate goal, so we filed. It may mean going to the local office to get another one year GC stamp, but in the end it appears to reduce the overall timing.
Good Luck!

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from Michael2017 in Big age difference...
I have read many stories...many stories. I have seen two that were denied apparently based on age. Both stories were 30 year plus age differences. I am not sure where I read it, but as long as you have less than a 25 year age difference, it is okay.
In the end, it is what it is. Worrying about things that are beyond your control just causes stress. You and your husband are real. Trust that in itself will be enough. If you are denied in the end which is a possibility for everyone, you will address it when/if it happens.
Good luck!

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from carol22qand in filed i130- what happens once USCIS sendS info to NVC
There seems to be a one month travel time between the USCIS and the NVC. Then, NVC stage will take 3-5 months to get case complete...Cairo often takes over 100 days after cc to schedule interview.
He will get his green card within 3 months of arriving if you pay your fee right away. But a social security number is much more important then the GC because the visa serves as temporary GC. About 1 week after arrival go to the SSA office to ensure his SSN is generated in a timely fashion....we foolishly waited the recommended three weeks only to find out nothing had been done yet.
Nothing you have said raises any red flags. Good news is that he should get a IR1 since you will most likely be married for two years! 10 year green card!
Good luck!!

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from heo luoi in Original Documents needed for US Embassy Immigrant Visa Interview
You should have gotten a list of documents you need to bring to the interview and whether a copy or the original was needed. Just follow the list. Good luck!

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from Amhara in I'm so confused, living in the USA currently.
Citizenship is not automatic for children born abroad. This site should be helpful... http://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/citizenship-through-parents
Once she has her US passport, she can take that along with her foreign born birth certificate to get SSA offices and apply for her SSN.
Looks like you need to adjust your status as I assume you are here on a tourist visa.
Good luck.

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from Cheezees in Immigration conundrum: How do I bring my spouse here?
If it was me, I would get started on the CR1 right away since the job is not a sure thing. If things go well and you have all your proverbial "ducks in a row", your spouse could be here in 8-14 months.
I am assuming you are a US citizen.

I wouldn't bother explaining 2012; they'll care more about current income, so I'd just put the employment letter in there.

Fill out the paperwork for the CR1. Married is married. I would also contact my congressman to have him/her help you expedite the process.

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from mallafri76 in Just received updated 221g (HELP PLEASE!)
You can register to vote without picking a party. No one cares what [arty you belong to in the USA. The government only needs to knwo what party you are registered with so that they know which primary you get to vote in.

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from Shauneg in Are W2 forms enough to be used as financial evidence?
You need to send your tax transcripts OR your tax returns and W2s for the last year...however, they prefer the last three years. You also need to send your last 6 pay stubs and a letter from your current employer stating your current salary.

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from TRUSTNOONE in Consequences of marriage before I-129F is completed
There is no immigration without extensive scrutiny from American government. If you get married, you will need to formally withdraw your fiance visa, and then file for a CR1.

Moustafa/Crystal reacted to DNIEPU in forms expired?
That expiration date isn't for applicants, it's for the OMB (Office of Management and Budget). Applicants can keep using this form until USCIS issues a new edition.
I hope this helps!

Moustafa/Crystal got a reaction from Socialwork4god in Marriage in Nigeria
For you AOS/IV package....you will need your tax transcripts for the 2014 and 2015 as well as next year 2016. You could order those from the IRS now and get them in a file folder. Very easy to do..just go to the IRS website. You will need a letter from your employer and copies of your pay stubs...I would start collecting pay stubs now, but the letter from the employer is only good for 3 or 6 months...I cannot remember...so wait with that until you get to the NVC.
You will need $120 for the AOS fee and $325 for the IV fee. There is a green card production fee of $165 after you receive you visa. Also there will be fees associated with the medical. Have your spouse find his immunization records if possible.
If either of you or your spouse were previously married, be sure you have copies of the original marriage certificate and divorce decree.
Your spouse will need to get police certificates from any country he has lived in since age 18??? not sure what the exact age is, but police certificates are only good for six months...so wait to do this.
Also...I forgot to mention....your spouse needs to a list of every place he has lived (there is a specific direction like after age 16 for more than 6 months, but I am not sure.) Also, he needs to get a list of jobs including name of employer, immediate supervisor, phone number, address, and dates employed. He will also need information on his education...name and address of his high school, dates attended..and the same information for college/technical schools.
I think that is pretty much everything. I might have missed something, but if you do all these things, you will be way ahead of the game. Good luck.
