Marrying someone you don't love or want to be with romantically so they can get a green card is immigration fraud.
What the OP did was marry some they did love and wanted to be with romantically so they could get a green card and be together. That's what "married to get a green card" means here. That's not immigration fraud, calm down.
OP, divorcing makes no difference now. Don't worry about the effects of that on his immigration case.

I appreciate all the helpful answers. To the ones that are blaming me, I had about a day to get home before something really bad happened and if I hadn't gone back home, I would probably regret it forever. So please, don't be mean to me. It wasn't em easy to buy a plane ticket at 4:30pm to board a flight at 10pm the same day and leave my husband, all we worked so hard for and our GC application. It hurts and we are desperate.
So I kindly ask you guys to be judgement free and mindful to all the pain we are feeling right now.

I understand your nerves. What makes me so mad about all this is why should you or any of you be nervous and scared when you know your marriage and relationships are real, legit and above board!!

Not arguing, just my 2c. They are lucky to have jobs, if they don't want them they can leave and work somewhere else. Hell, I'd love to take over from one of them and REALLY CARE about each and every call. Every one of those calls are important. Behind every call is a scared and frightened couple waiting to be together legally. Behind every call is sacrifice, dedication and LOVE. The LEAST I would do is be polite to people calling me.

If I am reading correctly and your husband is in the United States legally on a visa and you are now married, he can adjust his status then and there. I am not 100% on what you need to file, but because he is an Immediate Relative, he should be able to stay in the US with you and get a greencard; you're in a good position

Ugh so I was at a concert last night, my fave singer was singing autographs, I had nothing but my passport on me, I had a few drinks and thought what a good idea!
I'm guessing the immigration officer in the embassy aren't going to put a permanent residency stamp in it, are they?
Do you reckon my passport is now void?
Will I just get a new one? I've already sent in my biographic data page, so know there is about 4 years left on it - will this be a problem?
Should I just say I lost my passport?
I swear to God only this ####### could happen to an Irish person!

I would give it a go to be honest - you never know? put your case forward in a convincing way!
I have actually seen expedites put out for similar reasons on this site
When it comes to expedites people on here always say "no" and are quite negative about it - as they can't get one and are jealous, thats the way I read it anyways.
If you feel like you would incur financial loss, give it a try, worst is they could say "no" - good luck
