In this case the beneficiary can fill out the I864A as a household member to support his wife's I864 since presumably his income is continuing via his DACA EAD. The OP does need to clean up his tax issues of course.

Spouse w/ CR1, how to change to R1?
Dashinka replied to Kivitan787's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Yep, it will be a 2yr GC. Water under the bridge, but he should have waited a month and entered after the 2nd wedding anniversary (i know, easy to say that when it is not myself dealing with the separation from a spouse). Good Luck! -
Spouse w/ CR1, how to change to R1?
Dashinka replied to Kivitan787's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Just an FYI, the N400 cannot be decided until the I751 is decided. If the I751 is denied, the N400 will not be decided. -

Did he enter the US with his spousal visa prior to your 2nd wedding anniversary or after? -
I am putting this here as I found this quite interesting. I am somewhat a fan of Dr. Who, but do not follow it religiously. The show has gone downhill since Peter Capaldi left. Btw, there is also a nice analysis regarding the JD Vance speech here. We always here the marketing adage "sex sells", I guess they can add another one "go woke, go broke". A new dark age of British TV But the kind of robotic grandstanding we saw from Tennant is precisely what most of us now expect from actors. Perhaps anticipating yet another exhibition of progressive inanities from our thespians, many didn’t bother to tune into the BAFTAs in the first place. According to the Mirror, more people watched a repeat of Antiques Roadshow on BBC One on Sunday evening than they did the BAFTAs just before it in the schedule. Meanwhile, the BBC’s Doctor Who is also losing its allure. ‘Doctor Who facing axe as lead star Ncuti Gatwa “quits” amid woeful rating and fans’ fury at woke storylines’, announced the Sun earlier this week. This will hardly surprise older fans of a show that’s been transformed into a didactic vehicle for hyper-liberal dogma. https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/02/21/why-they-raged-at-jd-vance/

Excellent analysis by George Beebe. Reality Is Winning the Ukraine Narrative War The dominant army in this information war has comprised most Western governments and leading media organs, abetted by a formidable array of public relations firms working in partnership with the Ukrainian government. It has insisted that the Ukraine war is best understood as a modern-day variation of Nazi Germany’s World War II aggression, with Putin reprising the Hitlerian role of revanchist dictator seeking to grab land and dominate Europe. Unless he is stopped through resolute military force, they argue, his armies will move from Ukraine to the Baltic states, Poland, and beyond. Arrayed against this army has been a loose band of realist experts and anti-establishment skeptics who contend that the war’s origins more closely resemble those of World War I. To varying degrees, they acknowledge that Russia’s paternalistic attitudes towards Ukraine have played a significant role in Moscow’s motivations, but they argue that the invasion is fundamentally the product of what international relations theorists call a “security dilemma.” Steps by NATO to bolster the security of its members and aspirants were perceived as threatening by Moscow. Aggressive efforts by Russia to block these moves threatened the West, producing a spiral of action and reaction that continued to escalate absent diplomatic efforts to arrest it. https://www.compactmag.com/article/reality-is-winning-the-ukraine-narrative-war/

The plot thickens. Is this a failure to meet the terms of the ceasefire? Hamas did not return Shiri Bibas, sent anonymous body, IDF confirms The IDF confirmed on Friday morning that the hostage remains released on Thursday belonged to Ariel and Kfir Bibas. However, the third body "was not that of Shiri Bibas, and no match was found for any other hostage. It is an anonymous body without identification," the military stated. "This is a very serious violation by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is required by the agreement to return four dead hostages. We demand that Hamas return Shiri home along with all our hostages," the military added. https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-843119

Do I need Affidavit of Support for K-1 Visa?
Dashinka replied to delta_pie's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I agree, I would be lining up a joint sponsor. Good Luck! -
I-751 question
Dashinka replied to Kim_feggulis's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
I agree, USCIS should not reject it due to this minor discrepancy. Good Luck! -
I-134 For K1 Visa Application
Dashinka replied to Ekto Oktan's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
consulates will usually accept a co-sponsor on the I134, but yes, if she has sponsored others she will need to disclose that. The I134 is needed for the interview. No need to fill this form out now for the I129F submission. Tax returns, or better yet IRS tax transcripts will be required as evidence for the I134. Good Luck! -
Will it be taken away?
Dashinka replied to MichaelJuan.198's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
They will not (or should not) take away the expired GC until she attends the oath, and she should have no issues with travel outside the US after the interview (my wife's card was taken away when she received an ADIT stamp, but her extension letter was expiring, so it made sense). USCIS will ask her about international travel between the interview and the oath at the oath ceremony, but if she is not close to the requirements she will be fine. Good Luck! -
AOS
Dashinka replied to clf827's topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Yes, the original I765 was tied to the original AOS and that I765 is now voided. You do not need to request a new SSN. Good Luck! -

Late filing AOS, please advise.
Dashinka replied to Jesse C.'s topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
There is no deadline for filing the I485, so no issues regarding what you termed "late" filing. That being said, what @Crazy Cat stated is a possibility, and there are stories, albeit rare, where K1 entrants were detained after the 90 days with no AOS filed (see below for an example). One never knows what life will bring, so it is best to deal with those things in our control, and getting the AOS package in ASAP is something you should strive for. Good Luck! -
Five Quick Things: The Glitch McConnell Solo Act
Dashinka replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Mitch is definitely not a proponent of leaving while on top or with some semblance of dignity and grace. Reminds me a bit of Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Broadway Joe, and even Tom Brady. Yes, he, or more than likely his handlers, are trying to paint some sort of legacy for him with his Trump picks opposition, but it really just looks sad. I will give Cocaine Mitch credit though for keeping Merrick Garland from SCOTUS. -
Love seeing the Euro elite "progressives" with their panties in a bunch when their hypocrisy is unmasked. I know European elite leaders like to be condescending, and they had an absent President in Old Corrupt Joe for the past four years, but they need to get on board or leave the table. Europe disdained US Republicans for years, now euro-elites are in a frenzy https://brusselssignal.eu/2025/02/europe-disdained-us-republicans-for-years-now-euro-elites-are-in-a-frenzy/

I hadn't considered that. I wonder if the CCW application only needs the NOA the N300 was filed? Quite honestly, the receipt NOA could also be the approval NOA for this form as there shouldn't really be much USCIS needs to actually do. To the OP, yes, if you are not eligible to file the N400 right now, and you want to get a CCW in Oregon, then apparently you do not have much choice. Let us know the outcome of that processing. Good Luck!
-
This is a new one. Even searching N300 here on VJ shows very few references. Additionally, the USCiS processing time site does not even list that form. Regardless, it appears you need it in Oregon for whatever reason. Personally, I would just file the N400 as the processing time for that form in Portland is about 6 months. I imagine the N300 may take about the same amount of time, and you avoid the extra N300 filing fee. Good Luck!

A moderator moved your post to a more appropriate forum. It is no big deal.

Unsure of the current situation, but you can research here. Back when my wife naturalized, the Detroit Passport agency allowed walk-ins for newly naturalized citizens, but I think Covid changed all of that. Good Luck! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies.html

You can use your (the USC's) medical issues as grounds for an expedite. You will need proof of your issues (Drs. notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, etc.) to submit with the request. Just keep in mind expedites are location specific, so if your I130 is currently at USCIS, you need to request your expedite there, then when the I130 moves to NVC, you need a new expedite request at NVC, and the same for the consulate (i.e. expedites, if approved, do not follow the petition through the entire process). Good Luck!

You can start here, not sure if there is a similar platform for people immigrating to Canada. Good Luck! https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/163-emigrating-outside-the-us/
