There are many people on this forum with family who cannot obtain visitor visas. When people abuse their visitor visas, it affects those families in a very negative way.
I've given Nilush very good advice on how to immigrate to the US legally. She knows the difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. She is choosing to do it the illegal way. This affects the rest of us. Nilush is not looking for advice on how to do things legally. She wants to know how she can get away with doing it the illegal way. She is not here to learn anymore, she got the information. She is here to advance her goal of staying illegally.
So, I don't think I am being a bully. She is choosing a path that results in the US not trusting people who want visitor visas. She is choosing a path that negatively affect a lot of other families. So, yes, I am mad.
Every time a visitor visa is denied in Peru, you can thank people like Nilush for keeping these families apart.
If people didn't abuse their visitor visas, the US would probably let your fiancee's mother visit to attend her daughter's wedding, witness the birth of her grandchildren, etc. Because of people like Nilush, your fiancee's mother will never ever be able to do any of those things. Not only will your fiancee's mother miss those moments, so will your fiancee. I bet your fiancee would love for her mother to be able to attend her wedding. I bet your fiancee would love for her mother to be there when she gives birth.
Ask your fiancee how she feel knowing that the reason her mother can't get a visitor visa is because people like Nilush abuse their visitor visas? I bet your fiancee feel differently from you.

The only path from you to your aunt is
    You become a USC.
You petition the parent that is the aunts sibling
that parent becones as USC after 5 years
Your parent files a sibling petition where the wait is over 10 years.

Noah, mate. I know you are naturally suspicious of intent, and I do understand where you are coming from - but we have explained to you before, that unpaid career breaks are quite easy to obtain for many, many UK workers - especially those in the financial and government sectors. Many companies actively encourage them. Please try and remember that in the future.

The VAWA can be used for men or women. It was called VAWA because women tend to be more likely to be abused by their spouses and especially women are more likely to be KILLED by their partners. http://www.americanbar.org/groups/domestic_violence/resources/statistics.html
Wow. The act was NOT a "pay off to feminist and man-haters", while it is called the Violence Against Women Act, men can and DO use it as well to adjust their status!
This fact sheet from the USCIS specially uses language such as "he or she" and "spouse" rather than "woman/she" and "wife", so it is designed for BATTERED SPOUSES, it's not just for women.

Women are more than TWICE as likely to be killed by domestic violence! I think this act was very warranted. Yes, it can be abused by some people, so it probably needs some refinement. But that's no reason to dismiss it and call it a law made by "man-haters".

What? No it means he's an honest person who isn't going to date the first pretty girl he sees and he wants a deeper connection. There's nothing wrong with that and I actually find it pretty refreshing given there are far too many people who treat their spouses as trophies.
Nothing wrong with that. You'll be ready when you meet the right girl.

A K-1 visa is a Fiance(e) visa for getting married in the USA. You get married before arriving in the USA kiss the K-1 visa goodbye and be ready to start over for a IR/CR -1 visa. Tell her you CAN NOT marry before arriving in the USA. unless she is ready to wait another 6-8 months to a year before being together in the States.
And no you are not the first to have this VERY bad idea.

This is the problem with some guys.Sometimes when a guy pays for everything he tries to own the woman and treat her like property. And trust me SOME men are old school and controlling.I was born and raised in Ghana so I know what the heck I am talking about. In my case, I paid for the i-129f.My fiancee will pay for her medical fees and visa fees. She is gainfully employed and we have been preparing for this for the last two years. When she gets here.I will be paying for everything else and the adjustment of status.Women if you are employed and you can pay for something, help your fiance out and at the same time show that you can be independent and don't need a man to do everything for you.I do understand that not every woman is in that position.

I've always been thought that my money is his money and his money is my money, in the end we are both working for the same household and family. So when it came to paying I paid for everything including his ticket because at that point my dollars were way more than his dinars. Now that he is here I am not working because I am pregnant and he pays for everything including my student loans. We only have one bank account and it will always be like that and we share all the money be that we are both working or not.

It really depends on the couples situation and where they are from. In a situation where the the beneficiary does not earn much in their home country I would think it would be fair for the US Citizen who (most likely) has more income to pay the necessary fees, especially the ones needing to be sent by the USC. It would be nice if the beneficiary could save either all or some of their money for their fees for medicals and interview, travel to the embassy, etc. But in a lot of instances, I imagine the beneficiary is probably living some what comfortably, but probably lives paycheck to paycheck and there is not really any leftover money for the fees.
If the beneficiary is working and in a more developed country and can afford to pay the fees for their end of things (medical, visa, etc). Then I don't see why they wouldn't go ahead and do that. But again, that is a personal decision for the couple to make together.
My husband and I never really discussed who would pay for what. He paid the application fee, I paid my medical and visa fees. I think we never discussed it because we knew we both had the money to pay for each of these parts without having to complicate things by doing money transfers. When it came to AOS we used money leftover from what we had earmarked for wedding expenses and money from his paycheck. Really from the time I got over on my K1 visa and transferred "my money" over (we opened a joint account together with me as the primary account holder) we didn't really have "my money" and "his money". It became our money. We've been the same way ever since. It's what works for us.

A husband and a wife are one unit.
If one cannot pay and the other can, then the one that can pay should if he/she wants to live together as a married couple.
If both can pay, then it's up to the couple to decide how to cover the expenses of obtaining a visa and moving the foreign spouse/fiancee to the US.
Every family is different, so it's hard to give a definitive answer. Every couple can make their own determinations that fits their relationship.

I am not sure where you are getting all this from- the person has been in their country for 9-ish months now and could have been gainfully employed all that time, plus they only want to go to the USA for one week for a wedding.

A short update: The calls have tapered off to just once or twice a week now. What I did was had my family get more involved with some things. My Dad took her out to teach her how to drive, while I was at work. My mom took her to some museums and site seeing a couple weekends, while my son had wrestling tournament's. My sister took her out clothes shopping a few evening while I took the kids to practice's. We also just started her a LLC here, so that she can bill the company she and her brother own back in Greece, for consulting work. We're starting renovations on the house the first week of April to convert the study into an office for her, adding a bigger walk in closet in our bedroom, re-decorating the guest bedroom so that it's more convenient for when her family comes to visit and changing all of the carpets in the house and new tile in the bathroom's and kitchen. This way she can put her own personal stamp on the house. So now, when she talks to her family, she tells of all the things she's been doing and the changes she is making to the house here. So with all this stuff going on that she wants to share with them, it dominates the direction of the phone calls, rather than the theme of missing. I think that these few things have helped to ease their worries/ concerns about her "new life" in America.

Had my interview today. It was a great experienced, a stress free indeed! The entire process lasted less than 30 mins. The IO was nice and very professional. He verified all the information that was indicated on my application. He asked me 6 questions that I answered correctly.
    Questions are:
What is one promise you make when you become a USC?
Who is the governor of your state now?
Where is the Statue of Liberty?
    Name two U.S holidays.
What  movement tried to end racial discrimination?
    Who is the first president?
He gave me a piece of paper and asked me to read it.
"Who lives in the White House?"
He handed me another piece of paper and instructed me to write what he say.
" The President lives in the White House"
After that, he asked me: what do you think of the interview? I answered, I  think I'm doing good. He said: do you think so? Or you do so? Lol!
He then printed the paper that says I'm recommended for approval. That's  it!  I'm looking forward to hear an update for  my oath ceremony soon!
To the rest of January 2012 filers, good luck to all of you. Im hoping that you all have a good interview experience without any delay or unexpected problems that you might encounter.

Of course you stay in touch with family and friends.
True the states are similar to countries but don't make the comparison that it is the same when it come to travel.
I live in Indiana and my oldest daughters family has moved to Utah. I visit them and they come back home when they can. There is no government agency telling her she could not return to Indiana until she had the correct papers or face not returning to Utah for years and maybe even for life. In fact even being able to come and go without government intervention they still went to Utah first to check everything out before making the commitment to live there.
My brother lives here in Indiana too. He has children in Ohio, New Jersey and Florida. They too stay in touch and exchange visits when they can. Again, I am fairly sure they have never been detained at the state line because they did not follow the correct procedure or they stayed to long last time they were there.
I am so impressed with the courage and love of my wife. We text chatted or video chatted every day. I made every effort to let her experience what her life here would be before she had to make the ultimate commitment to get on that plane. I showed her where in Goggle earth I was located and she could see 360 pics of the local area. I took the web cam outside so she could see the snow in the winter and we sat on the porch watching the birds in the summer. I set up video chats at my brothers and my parent's so she could see and talk to her future family members. We both made every effort for her 9 yr old daughter to also experience everything. She sat was with me on a video chat as we passed out Halloween candy together. But still the courage and love for me she has to make the necessary arrangements to move her and her daughter 1/2 way around the world to live in a place they had never been.

Yes because most Canadians do not apply for a visa - they enter freely with their passports under the Canadian Visitor Program. The people that apply for visas are third party nationals living in Canada.

The reason that Canada and the VWP program countries' B-2 refusal rates are so high is because Canadian and VWP citizens normally don't need visas to visit the US. The only people in those countries who need B-2 visas are people with prior criminal convictions, prior overstays or third country nationals - meaning Canada has a 48% approval rating for people with criminal histories, prior immigration violations, or third country nationals living in Canada.
The vast majority of travellers from Canada and VWP countries travel visa-free and are not included in those statistics.
