You should get a restraining order, and then file for child support. When he doesn't attend or doesn't pay, you could get a warrant for arrest at that point. You should have already done this though... The broken nose is enough for a solid restraining order, every time he enters the country they will red flag him regardless of his current status. Hopefully that will make them look twice at his residency when he files to extend that. Good luck.

The church doesn't need to know you got married in a court house. Just get married whenever and file AOS, you will be stuck here until the process is over if you don't get AP. Your situation isn't that unusual or difficult, you are just making it that way.

Finding someone to sign something saying they will be financially responsible for someone isn't something you will likely find on the internet. If family and friends won't, he is probably out of luck. It isn't something someone should just do like it means nothing.

madtownguy got a reaction from Darnell in Fiance decides 2 days before the interview that she has a cold and doesn't want to attend interview
You really won't know what's up until she gets here. Nobody can say for sure things will work out. And it's possible she leads another life there, but technically you could be leading another life here and have someone living with you. I agree with you, unless on a death bed my wife wouldn't have missed her interview. She was sick when she got on the plane, so imagine you get that call after it is approved sorry but I have a cold I don't want to fly today. There goes a thousand down the drain.
They are females though, irrational, highly moody, and bad drivers. You know that to start with so you got to deal with it. My wife is on her first visit back to the Philippines, she bugged me constantly about calling to get green card sped up which I told her is pointless but of course I had to do it. I booked her a flight withing 2 weeks of receiving her green card. She has a lot of cash and credit card which she can do whatever she wants with. She is on her second day there and wants to come back already, she hates it and won't spend any money to try to make it better which always helps me. I of course warned her that she has gotten use to living the good life and it might not be so awesome going home, but no rationality in her head made what I said worthless. In the end I know women are crazy nutters that you have to either except or live a miserable life trying to figure it out.
Good luck, IMO missing any interview or appointment is a huge sign, but she could just harness her crazyness in that particular way.

It's also way too monitored, a forum should be open for discussion. This is a communistic forum, anyone coming online for information has to be aware of the source. Anyone that has done anything with the government or law knows there are a whole lot of grey areas. This site deals too much in black and white and because of that a lot of people will suffer.

Talk with your husband and figure things out. It's been 3 years since withdrawn, the interview is only going to get much harder. It is odd that you are asking now and not 3 years ago. Nobody on the internet can help you figure out what to do with your life, decide how you want to live it and live!

It's not that hard getting a second job. And why would you pay off debt instead of using the money to show your assets higher instead and pay off after the visa is approved. There is a ton that doesn't sound right with this post. It may be the person you are marrying but somewhere there is some odd stuff going on.

You could get a job. The poverty line is set incredibly low. Why do you think it would be fair to bring someone into the country that you can't afford? I think it is unfair that you think you are being punished. It is incredibly hard to find good help, if you put the effort to work hard you will make money it is that simple.

That sucks, people saying you need to live together to be in love are not being fair. In many cultures it is normal for family members to go to other countries and work for years with out seeing their wives or children. You are probably just doing what is natural to you. With your wife not fighting for you though it seems the relationship is over. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

Yikes, thinking like that is one thing. A lot of people have bad thoughts about people, but writing them on a forum is another. What do you care if she stays in the U.S. or not, it shouldn't affect your life at all. If you don't want her anymore just leave her. Doing something negative against someone you use to love will only make your life worse in the long run. It's not the end of the world, in the end you will probably think it was for the best when you get in a new relationship with a wonderful new person.

I don't know many guys who think like this. It's very possessive to think someone should be reachable at any time. I have days where I can't talk at all because I'm busy and won't look at a text or anything. Also my fiance went a week or two when she was on a vacation and couldn't talk to me, it's not the end of the world. Perhaps his life is changing and he doesn't want to move anymore, you should talk to him about it and not ask strangers on a forum. He is just a boyfriend.

using a lawyer or a website will not guarantee anything goes any smoother. If anything it will slow things down rather than speed them up. If a lawyer makes a mistake, they are just going to say OOPS. There's nothing else they can do. First hand experience taught me that even an immigration lawyer specializing in what you are doing can make a mistake because odds are they are paying some paper pusher who just started to do the work. I highly recommend if you do not have abnormal circumstances you do the work yourself.

I agree with this person, your city is listed as New York city. The odds of your friend seeing her out are very very low. Also waiting is tough, not all but some probably get into a little trouble. It isn't the end of the world. Two people need to choose to be together, that is what is important.

That's some bleeding heart liberal ####### there, at one time nearly every relationship was abusive by this definition. Having power over someone could be as simple as being the person who is the money earner in the family. Domestic violence is physical abuse or verbal threats, liberals have sprinkled fairy dust and turned it into something else. I've had a sugar momma and I've been a sugar Daddy, they both have their ups and downs. If you're letting someone control you it's just as much your fault as it is theirs. There's plenty of people living a fancy life on government money, no reason to think you need someone to survive. Keep someone from leaving, now that is domestic violence.
