I told my husband about this thread and he said "well, the cool thing about the US is that if you have an idea you can start a business to do it." So start a business that gives special gifts to new immigrants if you like!

Some businesses give free meals on your birthday.
No business gives free things to new immigrants.
What we are talking about is life in America. Something we know about.
Why do you expect free stuff when you get here?

    FREE ESL Classes.
google 'FREE ESL Classes <<your city name>>'
i think, though, you are confusing 'recent immigrant' with 'illegal alien', as apparently there ARE freebies for illegal aliens, in the USA.
regardless, FREE ESL Classes do exist, for recent immigrants. Schedules vary by location.

No but you need to be sure he or she understands the tax laws of the state in which income was earned so as to properly complete any state tax forms.
I am a little surprised at the number of people who run into problems with the AOS because they didn't file tax returns. The bigger issue for them are problems with the IRS. A visa should be the secondary consideration, after buttoning up their tax situation.

This is incorrect advice. The form clearly asks (13) if you filed US Income Taxes for the three years. While you do not have to submit all 3 years you better make sure you filed thoses taxes or you will be commiting VISA fraud.

Curious on the timing...you entered the US in October of 2006 and your divorce was final in January of 2007, and you remarried the next month? I was under the impression divorces take a minimum of six months to be final (depends upon the state). Also, the fact that you remarried a month after divorce and four months after entering the US would, to my thinking, raise questions.

I understand your frustration. I like many others have waited this out for so long; you are almost done! My gosh, just a couple more months and you will be done and can be together where you want to be. DON'T GIVE UP, PLEASE! It breaks my heart that for all of us out here who wish to God every day that we were as far as you are, could even say "November" for anything!
This process is gruelling. You've been over so many hurdles to get so close and not finish this. Many of us are just like you....my husband is in Japan. I can't afford to go back to see him; I don't have the money to travel back and forth nor the time that I can take from my job. He can't come here because of the obvious, but also because the Philippines is not on the VWP. By the time we're together it will be over a year since we've seen each other.
Remember this always for both of you:
God doesn't give you something He doesn't think you can do!
DON'T GIVE UP....IT'S ALMOST OVER FOR YOU!!!

I think he might be referring to AOS (affidavit of support). Problem is it looks like you are chasing a green card not a wife. Expect a lot of scrutiny at the interview. Make sure you have a ton of evidence. When was the last time your wife visited you?

What information is it your are seeking? AOS as I said doesn't apply to you since you are out the country. Are you fighting the fact they deported you after denying your AOS which the US government can?.
The issue for you is you may or may not have a ban. Have you seeked an attorney to see if you have a ban which you really won't know iuntil you interview. Your wife can only file at this point a I-130 petition. The waiver comes later.
    You need an attorney.

Howzit! Bra, go beach, get one tan and dress down when you are there. I wear no jewelry (watch, chains, ring...nuttin) wear Boroboro shorts and tank top. Never been bothered, Not once has anyone spoken to me in English first. (Well, I do admit it helps I'm Asian) in other words, look poor. All my girls family thought I was a farmer or fisherman! Lol!!!

Thanks David. My sweetheart is in Muntinlupa, so for us it's usually a two jeepney ride to MOA. It's not like we have to stay in Manila all the time. Manila reminds me of being in Chicago or New York City, you are in an environment riddled with predators. Muntinlupa is a big place for me, about 450,000 people, but the locals have always been open and kind, and I feel very safe there. Of course, I think everybody there knows and is scared of her grandmother, who introduced us...She's the Seal Team 6 of grandmothers around there...

I understand and feel your pain, I been away from my spouse for way to long. This might or might not help you, but this is how I kept sane in getting everything together and started.

    1. Walk- I walked 10 Miles every other day by the water (helps relax me)
    2. Mind Blockers- Find something that brings your joy and do it.
    3. Mindset control- In my life business I teach my clients how, what and how they think become how they feel. That becomes how their life results to become. I know it’s hard, but keep a positive mental picture of you and your mate together here.
    4. Find a Visa Buddy- Find someone that has been through what you are going through to help and relate too.
    5. Just Believe it is going to happen.

Loneliness is one of the hardest feelings to think rational with, this is where having a mental picture and a visa buddy comes in at.

I wish you all the best in everything, It will happen...

    Darrell.

    Thanks, Hank.
Yes, I'm planning on being there. She asked if I would go, and I was thrilled because I was hoping to be there for the interview, and I'm always ready to go back and visit the family and enjoy being over there.
I fully understand the embassy warning, but the difference in airfare is worth the gamble, especially if the tickets can be changed. So far the process has been smooth sailing, but we did death by paperwork and have sent in very organized packets. Keeping our fingers crossed...

How long do you think it will take to bring my wife here. I mean the whole process from filing to her receiving the visa. Thanks to everyone who responded. Thank you in advance for those who will answer my question.

I met the love of my life last May of 2013 and I went back to the state on July 14, 2013. I decided to go back and not waste any time. This is the one. I have never been married before. So, on Aug. 4 i went back to the Philippines to marry the love of my life. Now, we are both miserable not being with each other specialy, we were together for 40 days, day and night.. We got married on Aug. 22. I went back to the US on Sept 14th which is probably the worst day of my life. Now, I decided to seek help here. I want to file a I-130 visa soon. Please give me some input. Im 51 and she is 24. We truly love each other. Do you see any problem with the age difference? I am Filipino but have been living in the states since I was 15.I speak Tagalog (Philippines language) fluently. Please, give me any warnings or roadblocks that we might encounter. Also, Any past experiences that you might want to give me. I desperatly want to have my wife next to me once again soon
    Jesse
