Ron-Tanya got a reaction from Patient in US TAX - Do I PAY TAX ON FUNDS I AM BRINGING INTO THE US FROM ABROAD ?
I have done what you are talking about. If you bring the money into the US and you have paid the tax in Germany you will not have to pay taxes on it in the US. If you bring the cash in as I did, report it on the form on the airplane for customs. They will question you on it, tell them the truth. Then put it in the bank in one lump sum!!!! Very important, I have read many wrong answers on this site as to put the money in the bank in sums under $3000 so it will not be reported.WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do the bank will report you and that is called MONEY STRUCTERING it is illegal to put your money into a bank in this fashion. The IRS thinks you are trying to hide something and they will take you to court if you put it piece mill into the bank. What you are doing is fine and legal just put it all in the bank at one time. Then use it to pay for a new house or what ever. NO TAXES are due the Americans as you have already paid the Germans. I know this for a fact as I have also brought a large sum of money in from Germany that the taxes had been paid. It was in cash and I was questioned at the Airport by customs. Everything was fine no taxes due the US.

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from Harpa Timsah in Do the TSA target the cases of visa applicants?
WOW some of the things people think?? When a airline is checking in passengers TSA does not have time to look at the bag tag to see who it belongs to. The only time your bag is searched is when the xray can not determine what an item is. Then the bag is opened and item looked at. Guns are legal to carry in checked bag as are other weapons. Now a bowling ball will cause your bag to be opened as the xray can not see thru it. GET THE PICTURE?? So if you are carrying something that shows up on the screen obpeke it will be searched and looked at.

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from user19000 in Visa Denied because I am ugly???
Sorry but something is not right here??? No US Government bureaucrat is going to leave his tail waggin in the wind like that. You need to do some checking and you will find out that is not the reason for denial.
Good luck

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from JMH in Why does it has to be so difficult??
Hi Jason, the address is Swietokrzyska 31/33 it is the main post office building you enter and go thru the door on the right and on the right is an office. Just show them your printed reciept and they know what to do, you will need the complete name and issue and expiration date of passport. Then they give it back and you must go back out to the lobby and enter the door on the left which is the post office where you pay. They give you back the receipt and you go back to the little office and the man will hand write a number on it. This number will be needed the next day making an appointment (not what the embassy site says) In the morning (one minute afternoon) call and you will be asked for this # and be given an appointment. You will be sent an email conformation that MUST be printed out WITH the bar code, to be shown at interview for entry. I carried my laptop and had the lady at the embassy wait until I recieved it before I let her hang up. Then went to a internet cafe and printed it out. If you are not staying in a hotel (apartments are the way to go) you will need to take an unblocked cell phone with you that uses a sim card. I did not have one so I bought a cheap one for around $30 and the sim card cost (player brand) cost $9. and I got a lot of talk time out of it.
Anymore questions just ask and I'll try to help. Warsaw is a great place for a few days and a lot to see cheap prices on food and clothes we stayed 9 days and had a great time.
Hope this helps, Ron

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from JE06 in The 200 Club-it's such an honor
Molly, I am retired from the Military and the Federal Government (Homeland Security) and I am ashamed of the way you are being treated as well as others. There has to be a fail safe mode somewhere?? I would be calling and writing the congressman who got you the expedite and let him know just how much pull he (doesn't)really have. This will shake a congressman up, and just maybe he will bring thunder down on them this time. I wish you good luck and a speedy approval. Ron

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from cdneh in WRIT OF MANDAMUS - what we can do if our cases are current but not adjudicated by USCIS past current processing times
Having worked in and for the US Government most of my life and I ran across someone with your attitude I would slow down also as most Government people around the world would do. I read your first thread and now this one and it seems two different people are doing the writing? I may be wrong (have been once before) but I would chill out and save my money before shelling out to a lawyer. Your still a guest here yes we make mistakes like any other country. But if we're so wrong then why do you want to stay? I read what you have written and maybe USCIS did make a mistake, but the way you write raises BIG RED FLAGS to me. Chill out and wait your turn.

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from Glyn and Kathy in Just HOW strict are immigration officers at POE?
In any airport I have passed thru I don't pick up my luggage until after I pass thru immigrations, they never see how many bags you have. Also a family does not have to fill out one customs card. A family can fill out one card for each member of the family if they wish. Example if you as a family have more than $10,000 and declare it on one form you will be stopped and questioned and have to fill out forms again. But if you have less than $10,000 per person than each person fills out one customs card than there is no need to declare the amount of money, ie $12,500 on one card must be declared $6,250 per person does not have to be declared on two cards.

Ron-Tanya got a reaction from Kathryn41 in Driver License from another country
Each state has different laws, in some states as long as you do not work you may use your license up to one year. Check your state DMV and get the real story. Good Luck
