Deema & Wayne got a reaction from NancyNguyen in N-400 December 2014 Filers
    Hello everyone!
    I had my interview today:
My husband and I arrived around 20 minutes early and the officer called me in around 10:30. He swore me in and started asking me questions from my application, my SSO number, birth date, husband, etc.
Then he gave me one sentence to read and one sentence to write down.
He moved on to ask me the following civics questions:
    1. Who is in charge of the Executive Branch?
    2. If the President can no longer serve, who takes his place?
    3. When is the last day you can file your income taxes?
    4. Who was President during WW1?
I can't remember the other 2! He stopped after asking 6 questions because that's all I need to pass. He then, had me sign a couple of papers and provided me with a paper that says I passed and to wait for a letter for my oath ceremony.
I was in and out in around 10 minutes. Good luck to everyone!

1- No; each state gets two Senators who represent the whole state, but each state also gets a number of Representatives based on the population of the state (Maine has 2 while New York has 27). Representatives only represent a district within a state. So while the two people you mentioned both represent residents of Maine, only one of them represents your district. If you enter your zip code here, you should be able to determine your representative depending on where you live: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/So to summarize, you will have one Member of the House and two Members of the Senate representing you.
2- In most of these cases one answer is sufficient because the answers are related to one another. One exception I can think of is the question about who the US fought in World War II; all three answers of Germany, Italy, and Japan are required because the those were the main Axis countries that the US fought.

I did come across this though
4.11)...My alien fiancee has been issued a K-1 visa. Can we get married abroad and then come back together to the US with the K-1?
A...No. The alien must NOT be married when s/he enters the US on a K-1 visa. Also, if using the K-1, the couple must marry in the US within 90 days of the alien entering on the K-1.
(FAQ Note: Some couples arrange to have a non legal ceremony prior to the fiance(e) leaving their home country, in order to satisfy the wishes of family, or to have a celebration if the family is unable to travel to the US for a wedding.

The only 5 point that has to do with immigration is the Five Point Plan for Immigration Reform which is just an article I read and includes "Deport all illegal aliens who are actively taking advantage of our current health care system; send them to the hospitals in the country of their origin."
You're not an illegal alien and it's clear they don't know the first thing about immigration; I wouldn't worry, they can't do anything to jeopardize your status. Make it your mission that they stay out of your business, I'd start with blocking them off Facebook or anything else that has to do with you. Sigh..the things people who have no lives will do.

It's funny to me that everyone else in this thread is saying things like "don't let him come back to your house" when the OP is clearly at fault here (if her description of the situation is accurate). She brings this guy over and decides in a week and a half that they are not alike? And you are more worried about her?

I'm not sure why any of this still matters to you. You are divorced. Whatever USCIS does, it is between him, and his new wife.

Thanks! I received email and SMS updates because I signed up for it, and yes, the website was also updated. The updates are very detailed--card production ordered, then card mailed, and finally even a tracking number for USPS.

Yes, you need to include it with the I-485 Fee. I would also recommend downloading the instructions for the I-485 Application where you'll find details about the Fee outlined http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf
$985. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $1070, where applicable. See the form instructions for payment details.) You must make your check payable to Department of Homeland Security.

Social security won't let you change it unless your married name is on your green card. I'm changing mine when it's time to remove conditions cause they wouldn't allow me to do that until I get my name changed to my married name on my green card first.

That means that your RFE response was sufficient and that's why your EAD was approved. Now you're waiting for an interview date. Same with me, only I sent in the RFE response and 3 weeks later they approved my EAD and I received it in the mail. Then I got a letter for my interview.

US Embassy?? The embassies are located on other countries, not in the USA. There is no US Embassy in Washington.
Also what does this have to do wit filing an I-192F? K-1 forum mostly has to do with filing an I-129F petition.

Deema & Wayne reacted to JimVaPhuong in Illegitimate investigation! Help please!
The FBI does not investigate visa fraud. The person who called you was probably from the Fraud Prevention Unit of the consulate. They routinely lie in the course of their investigation to get you to admit something you might otherwise not be willing to admit. Yes, they are allowed to lie to you, just as a police officer is allowed to lie to you in order to coerce you.
A little advance research would have better prepared you for what might happen. They can ask all sorts of embarrassing questions at a spousal visa interview. They can do the same at a green card interview or removal of conditions interview at a USCIS field office in the US. You can choose to answer the question or you can refuse to answer. Whichever option you choose should be done with the courtesy that's due to a foreign service officer or US immigration officer. Becoming indignant about the nature of the questions is always a mistake. Hopefully, you wouldn't respond the same way to a cop if you didn't like the questions you were being asked. A petty bureaucrat may not have a lot of authority, but if you piss them off then they'll use whatever authority they've got to make your life as miserable as possible.
Psychology is your friend in these cases. You're asking for a discretionary benefit, and the consular officer is the one who has the discretion to approve or deny your request, and their decision cannot be appealed. They don't need proof of anything. They can make snap judgements about any evidence they review, or they can refuse to accept evidence and make any assumptions they want to make. A little courtesy and humility can go a long way in helping you get what you want.
If the visa is ultimately denied then your petition will be sent back to USCIS. They may decide to reaffirm the approval of the petition, or they may decide to side with the consulate and revoke the approval. In the latter case, they'll send you a notice of intent to revoke. You should respond with a truckload of evidence. The consulate is accusing your husband of fraud. If the approval of the petition is revoked then he'll be guilty of fraud in the eyes of the US government.
