I became GC on March 1st, 2012 so my windows will open on Dec 1st, 2014 for naturalization. I am planning on sending my application on Nov 26th, 2014 so it will be at the Arizona Lockbox by Dec 1st, 2014.

Your calculated eligibility date is correct, but I advise you to wait a couple of days.

If they receive your application even one day early, they could send it back.

Based on past experiences, they usually go by the day they receive the application (although there are some applicants who have reported that USCIS went by the postmark and others who said they go by the day they open the application).

If I were you, I would mail it on Dec. 1st or 2nd just to be extra safe, but it's up to you. A few days late will make almost no difference in your processing, but a day early could delay you by several weeks.

Good luck!

For others applying in December, check the early foking calculator:

Also, just to make sure, you are married to a US citizen and you were married before Dec 1st 2011, correct?

And your spouse has been a USC for more than 3 years?

Yes, we got married on Dec 1st 2010. So this Dec will mark our 4th anniversary. She's been a US citizen since 2005.

You are right. A few days later/earlier would not make any difference. I guess I am just to eager to do this and get it over with, hahaha
