manilaboy83 got a reaction from Fingercross in Will filing unemployment due to covid affect my i-751 application submitted last nov 2019?
Hello everyone. Im hoping i can get information regarding my situation. I work in the restaurant industry and had submitted my i-751 application last nov 2019. Due to this whole corona issue, my employer had to drastically reduce my work schedule. I am married but losing significant hours will affect our income.
will filing temporary unemployment be used against me by uscis and deny my i-751?
i will really appreciate any information. Thank you

@Mollie09it doesnt really matter to me as what i need to know is if i/we need to include the divorce decree, and not to figure out who the beneficiary or the recipient is. All i know is i am the usc. ok?

No, you do not include it. You attach evidence of valid and ongoing current marriage alllllll the way back to when you first got married.
Yes, you both attend the interview
Yes, you are JOINTLY filing, which is why the above has to happen
There is a list of categories to not file jointly in the instructions, but based on what you’ve said here those don’t apply.
If: You file jointly on the basis of ongoing marriage then send her to the interview alone she’s pretty much hosed.
Hope that clears things up

The I-751 instructions just mention evidence to prove the marriage was entered in good faith and still ongoing.
I'd personally avoid including documents from a previous divorce as the officer could get confused and think the removal of conditions is not joint. And they -ideally- have any document previously sent anyway.
