I always reply.. ''In the end of the year if everything goes well'' and then change subject. Don't plan ahead, let them talk, people who doesn't understand the process thinks that everything is so smooth and easy, when it is not. Change subject if it bothers you, eventually they'll get the hint.

And as others said, dont plan anything before the visa is in your hands. You can have a simple legal wedding, and then plan later a big reception. Good luck!

OMG Stuart phoned me at work... they put up appointments and we're booked for Oct 27th at 8:30 in the morning!!! I am still shaking!

2-3 days should be fine, if she does her medical in another state. Just in case, make sure she has plenty of money, especially for the interview (if she gets approved, they'll mail the passport with the visa for her, so she needs to pay a fee), or for any possible delay.

If she decides to make the medical here in Rio, then I'd say, at least 1 week (if she doesn't have some of the exams that the doctor here requires, BEFORE the medical itself). For more info about it, you can PM me, I'm from Rio.

Hey just updating all you guys and gals expressing concern for me. I talked to her this morning the doctors gave her antibiotics for her ear infection and told her its better not to go to work for the next week. Its still so extremely hot in Cyprus and with the air condition inside the temperature changes obviously caused the problem. So no problem and shes quite happy and excited about the interview and all!!! So thanks to everybody for the support and I hope you all are moving along with your situations. Have a great weekend!!!

I just received an email from the Consulate. Her interview is scheduled for September 23rd at 9 AM.

Anyway, man be easy now, have LOTS of patience with your "asawa ko", don't get too frustrated with the rest of the journey, it's all part of the process and soon enough you'll be done with it, you're with her now, and she'll be "home" soon. Focus on what it's important now, and well, my two cents is, if your ex it's so unhappy like you said, don't make your FUTURE wife go through this, don't let her meet your ex just because you want to show off your happiness. Jealousy it's a real bad thing, and can ruin a relationship forever if you don't watch out for it.

Only love your darling, take care of her and try to not complain as much as before! lol Good luck
