I'm trying to look through the I-134, Affidavit of Support, 2-page form.
I got to the part where it says "Name of spouse and children accompanying or following to join person:
Spouse:
Child
Child
Now, since I put on the form, on the same page but before that part under "This affidavit is executed on behalf of the following person:"
I put Carolina's full name, since she's my fiancee and the person that I'm filling out the form for.... Do I just skip the part I just asked about? or put N/A in each space???

I haven't gotten one, and you have two. Can I have one?
hahahaha I'm giggling at this.

if the girl is muslim there is pretty much no chance she will be able to travel to the usa on k1 visa her family will never allow it.
sara
Right, I see. But if there is 1% of chance? I hope OP think twice before doing anything that could ruin all of his chances to be with the one he loves. By the way, when he started this K1 process, he had to tell the family, if so... didn't they agree with the process, were they aware she would have to get legally married in the U.S?
Anyway, good luck.

So much noise to avoid confronting family? Dude, you are already waiting for a K1 visa has 3 months, right? You are under Vermont, and this NOA2 could come before you know it, and even if it takes a little longer it gives you time to find a better solution, to make her family understand, etc.
Since you just said that you'll travel there, why not use this time you'll spend with your fiancee to EXPLAIN CRYSTAL CLEAR what the process it's like and why this is the best route, to her family. I do understand families there are/can be totally different than in another countries, but you're first thinking of doing some crazy stuff, then withdraw your petition, proxy marriage, bla bla bla.. when the only thing you SHOULD do is, man up, go there, have your fiancee beside you and TALK to her family. You'll waste 3 months, money, heart and time that you already gained with VSC, to just please the family, to avoid this conversation?
AND IF when you get there, to do all of what you just said, you receive the approval from VSC before you withdraw your petition? You'll start all over the process, to do a CR-1, which it COULD take even longer than the K1. Does that really worth it? I mean, reading through all the posts, replies and all here... this last plan you had seems so surreal to me. Think wise, does it worth spend all this money, time and heart instead of talking to her family? Unless she'll be put in risk if she doesn't marry with you in Egypt, I don't see a reason to do all of that. That's my two cents. Think wise, think twice before you do anything. Good luck.
Carolina.

Okay, to be clear.... My fiancee reposted this for me because I wanted help. Well, I forgot what all I posted in this thread before. Here's what I have...
I have 2008, 2009, and 2010 tax transcripts already. I see on the I-864 Poverty guidelines that 18,387 is 125% above poverty level, for 2 people. For 2009 and 2010 my tax transcripts show a GROSS income of 19,300 (roughly for both) For 2008 I am below that... a little over 16,000.
Anyway, she'll be living here with me, where I live with my mother and father still. Is this fine?
Also, I have pay stubs... Pay stubs from 2008 until now.
I have a letter from my bank that states things about when my account was started/previous loans/current loan.
I'll have a letter from employer (who is my father)
I'm going to print all the convo history from msn, skype, facebook.... I'm taking it to her, for the interview...
Any more help greatly appreciated....
One last question... My father has agreed before and still, that he would co/joint sponsor.... Even if I meet the mark of 125% above... could I still use him for extra security?
Thanks very much
Matt

Hey all. Our fiancee petition was approved on July 5th, notice date of July 5th (2011). We are both anxiously waiting for our interview onto her embassy in Brazil. This wait is driving us crazy. It's driving her more crazy than it is me, because she's READY to go. I can't blame her. Anyway, I plan to fly to Brazil with her to attend the interview.
Since I'm doing this, and I can print chat history/emails/etc. easier than she can.. I'm going to print our additional photos of us together, from the second stay together in her country. I'm at the stage of gathering everything that's needed. I have about 30 pay stubs from about 2008 to now. Since my father is my employer, he's working on producing a letter of employment, with my position, salary, and all that other stuff. I have a few questions... let's see if I can keep from being confusing.
I have my 2010 tax return papers. What forms should I take to the interview for her? Is it w2's only, or more? I also have my 2009 papers. I have the 2008 somewhere too, I just have to figure out where I put it lol. Is 2009 and 2010 enough?
Also, I'm pretty sure I am okay alone with the affidavit of support. More recently, in 2011 I got put on salary pay. I make a fixed amount of money every week. However, in 2010 and previous years... I would have time off from work without collecting unemployment. Which is probably stupid but I still live at home and I could afford to just "not work" and not get pay. Economy is tough and sometimes I think it just helps my dad to not get paid. So what I'm saying is, my annual income for 2010 might not quite reach the 125% above poverty level, on the tax returns. In 2011, it definitely will. Can somebody give me an updated national poverty level number?
I originally, beacuse my father is willing, was going to have him co-sponsor, either way. To be safe. Is this okay?
I want to make sure I do it all right, with what I have. I don't want to be the cause for a delay at the interview, or god forbid, a denial, over something simple. My pay stubs for the last several months show my salary pay for 40 hours... Can they consider that? Hell, I know that some people don't even have this stuff looked at, surprisingly. Anyway, any input is greatly appreciated.
Also, if I am to go the "tax transcript" route... Can anyone be specific on how to order/order the right form that is sufficient? And if I want to order transcrips from 2008, 2009, 2010... would they be ordered seperately?
Thanks so much for any advice.

@G/S ...I guess even if it's the same country, IF they ask you for a police certificate from every state you lived 6 months or more, I GUESS you'd need it.
IF you lived in ANOTHER country, for 6 months or more, then yes, you'll need one from every country you lived. Good luck!

Case Sent to Wrong Consulate - Need Advice
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted · Edited by MatthewNCarolina
You shouldn't take serious what people state on their profiles, some doesn't state the correct service center, others doesnt update the timelines, etc...
Immigrant visas are handled in Rio de Janeiro, it doesn't matter where you/her lives in Brazil, if it was different in the past, it isn't anymore; USCIS sent it to the right consulate. Your fiance(e) has to go to Rio to have the interview.
