  1. Nice thread

#1 - I have MY wonderful man beside me right now, rubbing my back ( lol )

#2 - All the wait is over today, I got my passport in the mail with my visa ( )

#3 - Soon I'll see many of you here feeling the same peace and happiness as us now.

#4 - I have an amazing dad, who received the visa for me lol and an amazing family in law, just ready for us to go home together.

#5 - I can eat a lot of brazilian delicious food with the excuse that I'm leaving (Matt agrees with this)

#6 - We are more and more in love every time we look at each other. And now we're in peace, finally.

#7 - After all our process was really smooth, and we're thankful for that.

#8 - Since the day of the interview, I'm able to sleep´pretty good. Before, every night was a struggle.

#9 - We're going home together! And we can finally set up a wedding date :)

#10 - Last but not least, God has been AMAZING to us, with everything, not only the process, but in our lives. I can't even describe in my prayers how thankful I am for everything He's been doing for us, for me, for my fiancé. I can only say thankyou and try to be a better person everyday.

I'm pretty sure I have more reasons to be happy, like healthy, etc etc but this will fit. I hope everyone here, waiting or not, can find their own reasons to be happy. This process is tiring, but there's always a bright side, ALWAYS. Keep the faith, hope, and support people. Good luck to everyone. (F)

  2. Visa on its way, I emailed the embassy and called the post office, it already left the post office and probably tomorrow or monday it'll be here in my hands

Then we'll book the flights, get a huge suitcase for me lol  and pack!! :luv: Ahhh this wait for the visa, it's so nice, we're just enjoying our time here in Brazil before I leave, it's hard for my family, I know.. but all will be fine, new life has to begin :)

How's everyone? Looky, how's your fiancee? hope she's okay and recovering fast (F)

I wish you all good luck, and happiness :star:

  3. The last thing you guys are probably doing is looking at this site...

... but anyway, its great to hear that you are together again.

Hey Andie, yep this is the last thing we've been checking lol The interview is so close now, but we're calm and just ready, praying that everything goes smooth

How's your paperwork? Did it get there? I hope so, how could they lose it  , anyway, keep us updated too, you're still a Marcher!

  4. Thanks Thea, I had a talk with her this morning while she was in bed in the hospital. She was in a car accident! Of all things, taxi drivers drive crazy but you hope they don't get into accidents! She was hit in the head, on the third day in the hospital she was conscious. She has a cracked rib also. She's going home tomorrow but still will be in bed for at least a week more, I think, hopefully not too much more. Thank God, this could have been so much worse!

Looky, I'm sorry all of that happened to your fiancee, I'll keep you two in my prayers. Wishing that she can recover fast, and everything works fine for you guys. Please keep us updated (F)

  5. Wednesday Carolina ? So cool .. you must be doing backward flips by now.

    Our news..

I sent all my new paperwork to the US for my fiance to add to his for the petition. It left here (NZ) on the 15th by courier... and guess what? It is lost in the mail somewhere. Can you believe this. I am supposed to fill in all these forms and stuff but I'm just sending a second pack today. ( over it!)

I guess that's gonna make me an October filer :(

Yep, he's travelling tomorrow and arriving here wednesday morning!! I'll see him to never be apart again!!!

Damn Andie, that SUCKS!!!! My god, there's something crazy going on there with you guys, but I'm here hoping this next time you send it, all goes well and smooth!! You still a March Filer by heart (L)

  6. Got my interview scheduled! Woohoo! Took us a while sending off packet 3 as there was an error on the i-134 form that I was sent, and my first police check went missing! (Think it got delivered to the wrong house)

25th October, yayaya. :) Totally nervous now though, lol. Making a biiiig scrapbook of evidence to take with me as it's easier to carry that than the HUGE box of stuff I have, lol.

Hey guys! Congratulations!!!! lol I should do that, hmm a scrapbook because damn we have way too much stuff  Anyway, congrats and good luck on the interview!!!

  7. A NOA2 DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THAT IT IS APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish people would frickin stop calling a approval notification a NOA2.

If you get a RFE, then guess what? The RFE will be your NOA2! and then your ("APPROVAL NOTIFICATION") will be your ("NOA3").

Humm, from my point of view you are technicaly wrong. The term ''NOA2'' is used here to make it simple for members to understand the ''progress of the process''. If it wasn't ''approved'', the only option/term would be denied, right?

The second point on your text, is also wrong for me, the RFE. Request for Evidence does NOT mean an approval as you stated, if you send the wrong evidence, you'll be denied. RFE IS Request for Evidence, and that's it. Why let a simple term bother so much? If you do not want to call it as NOA2, then don't. But for me is the best term, the one that made me understand better the steps on this process. Anyway...

OP - I got my NOA2 on the 5th of July (tuesday), right after the holiday, and was around 12pm when I saw it. I checked the website and my case status and was there. Later when I already had called my fiancé to tell him the news, as soon as I hung up the phone they sent out the text and email for him, but we first found out on the website. It is not accurate, some doesn't get it via text/email, some doesn't have the website updated at all, some only gets the letter in the mail days later. Good luck to you!

  8. Sometimes you can obtain those certificates online. My husband went in person to get his because he was more comfortable with that. He lives in the capital city of his state, so I'm not sure if that made a difference. Perhaps if he lived in another city he would have had to travel to the capital. I know that I have seen several people on VJ obtain them via an online portal. If you have doubts, you can email the embassy and explain what you have. Then ask if it will be sufficient. Good luck with your interview!

That's true too. I shoulda've said that in my case I'm only 1 hour away from the capital, so it's very easy to me to go there. Either way you can call the secretaria, and email the embassy to know for sure what you have to do, or if what you have is okay.

  9. I would go to the main office, but that's just me. Or get your fiancee to call them, and ask if the certificate you already have is right, for the US embassy. If it's not, they'll tell you what to do. Mine I had to go to the main office, mostly because it's the option for who lives in Rio anyway, and get the supervisor to sign it. In your case, I'd get your fiancee to call them, and see if it's all good.

    Good luck,

    Carolina

  10. Cool, pizza sounds good! But...I think the key words you mentioned first was, when we get settled. I see that as a big dose of reality thats going to hit us all like a jolt of lightning, especially the beneficiaries. Asides from that adjustment, America is a big place and we're going to be scattered throughout the country, so the pizza may get a bit cold if it has to be delivered from California to New York. ;)

I guess reality is slapping us all on the face lol And no cold pizza, we better all get together, once we settle down, and eat it while it's still warm :yes:

Looky, are you excited? your honey's interview it's almost there!! Wishing her good luck!!!

Today I paid the visa fee, this thing is not cheap at all, I better get approved lol Other than that, I will print again the forms, they're all done and take new pics. I tried today but it was a disaster, I almost lost my money with that thing  2 weeks til interview yaaay! :luv:

  11. Hi guys and gals! How you doing?? I've closed my facebook account these days so I can go to "sleep" early. I've been having weird dreams about the interview and some other things as Laday Gaga w/o make-up hanging out in a party w/me :wow: (go figure) Lmao! But I guess it's because of my interview on Thursday

    Besides that I'm ok! hahaha

All good and positives thoughts would be greatly received!!

Hope ya'll have a good day or night today. I'm going out to legalize Sebastian's travel permission... and to keep trying to sell that damn apartment of us...

    Geor

:rofl::rofl:

Geor, good luck darling!!!! you'll be fine, I'm sure!
