See that's what I don't understand about how some people come to the conclusions about this question. They are asking how and where you met in person.. Not how you fell in love and noticed the sparkle in each other's eyes ?

Don't put yourself in the risk of immigration fraud to help someone that clearly was using you. Protect your assets, she will come for more. Good luck.

You mean your i94 card expired? It's the Arrival / Departure Record they give you at the POE. You dont use the i129 for the ssn.
If you already have your EAD in hand, then go to your nearest ssn office fill out the form (you can download it from their website), bring your EAD, passport and marriage certificate.
Make sure to use the same last name you used for your AOS papers (EAD, AP & GC). If you used your married name, then use the married name on your ssn application.
This is the site of the social security administration.

PS: you will have to click on the following options, on the left side menu.
Who is the card for: Adult
    Type of card:Original
Citizenship of the person the card is for:Noncitizen

Sunnyland got a reaction from TwoChickies in Met a Filipina here in US who was here on K-1 visa
If you plan to petition her for K1 visa, she will have to go back home ASAP (in case she is not banned already for overstaying). In case you do follow the K1 path (or any) be prepare to answer some questions during the process.
Keep in mind that she was in a K1 visa not long ago with someone else, and shortly she will be in another one with another guy (you). That will put some red flags in your case. Make sure to know her VERY well before you proceed. Sometimes it's better to have a distance before you proceed, you see if what you have survives the distance test.
All the best for you no matter what path you take.

Maybe you can contact the airlines to make sure you don't need a visa for France, especially if you only plan to change flights within the airport.

    Run, Run, Run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First I am sorry this is happening to you but you are being manipulated. Whether is was rape or not, where was the baby when you visited, why did she not tell you sooner. These are not red flags this are SCREAMING RED FLAGS! I was in a situation with a live in girlfriend once and had to get a lawyer and evict her. The problems that fallowed put me through hell, please listen to your lawyer and do not talk to her without taping or videoing your conversations because when it comes to the police, they will most likely take the side of the person who calls first. I would file a PPO on the so called brother then I would serve you wife with an eviction notice. If California is like Michigan it may take 30 days to get her out. If it does take 30 days you need to leave the house and stay away from her, she will cause you much trouble. I wish you the best of luck my friend but you need to take care of this ASAP!

since you posted this yesterday, have you taken any action thus far? You don't have to tell me or any of us what action. I'm just curious if you've done anything yet. Time is critical. You are ahead of this if you take the upper hand & take action. If you are at work, & they are conspiring at home, you are already losing the battle. You will find yourself in the losing corner before you can even blink once. They are very crafty individuals, as you no doubt already know.
Edit: Please don't wait for any reason. Delaying this will only put you in the wrong position. Then you will face an uphill battle worse than the one you already face.

If they stated that they need these documents, then send it. Sometimes they request for things twice! God knows why. When you send photos write in the back of each one the date, place where it was taken, name of the people that appear in the photos, etc. Send EVERYTHING that proves you met each other in the past 2 years.
    Good luck.

An advice. Don't make travel plans until you have the AP in hand or you know it's been approved and its on the way. In my case it took me almost 3 months to receive it.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately not everyone can be prepared to understand how this process works. In our case, it took 9 months since we filed the papers until I got the visa in the passport. We knew it would take a time but we were sure what we were doing.
Hope you can find a solution and your boyfriend re-thinks to what he is doing to the relationship. Good luck to you!!!

Your friend should print any proof of what that woman is doing (FB posts, etc) and as others said get a restraining order or go to police station. If they are not sure of what to do, they should see a lawyer to get legal advice of the best way to proceed with this.
When your friend's husbands ex GF gets the restraining order or sees this is getting out of control...She will cool off.
    Hope things calm down.

If the marriage does not work or problems can not be solved maybe you should go divorce and go back to your country. If I was in a divorce situation, I would not even want to stay here in the US alone so I would go back to my home country asap with my family. The inmigration status would not even be my main priority! I guess each case is different.

Sunnyland got a reaction from Stephen + Elisha in K-1 Visa, BIOMETRICS AUG 28th, 2012 - Still no green card in mail
As Adam_747 said, expect to have the GC probably by Jan 2013. Few days ago I went to my Infopass appointment at local USCIS office because I had some doubts about my upcoming trip to my country (I received my EAD-AP combo card in August) and the lady very kindly checked in the system (I told her my case was tranferred to CSC) and she said CSC is very delayed lately and that I should expect it receive the GC by beginning of next year possibly, unless an interview is required. I had my biometrics done in middle of July.
Sorry to say but I think you guys should also applied for the EAD and AP (they are free of charge if they are submitted with the i-485 form). That way, if your wife needs to travel to her country for any emergency then she would be ready to go. That's what everybody does as unfortunately the adjustment of status process might be long and you never know when exactly you will get the GC or interview scheduled
Please, can you update your timeline? When did you file the i-485? This is very confusing.
How you applied for the i-485 the same day you had the biometrics? I don't understand that part. Can you explain better please? I never heard of anybody that did that. As far as I know, people mail their applications to the Chicago Lockbox, you dont do it at your local USCIS office. Then when you receive the biometrics apppointment, you do it.
The USCIS website informs where you can file your Form I-485 to.

Like Lornaevo said, you can start working as soon as you have the EAD and Social Security card in hand.
That you can start working on April 1st will depend of when you guys mail all the applications.
The EAD and AP card usually takes 2 - 3 months (from the day USCIS inform you they received your applications for AOS and cashed your check).
Good luck in this AOS journey!

Sunnyland got a reaction from Mike B. in Glossy OR Matte ?
We sent our photos printed in normal photo paper at a photo shop. We did not send more than 20 (along with 15 pages with screenshots of chats/ emails we exchanged during several years). We tried to pick up the best pix we had taken at trips during his trips to my country. We had no problem. If you send 100 pictures, they may think its suspicious. Believe me, they dont care if the photo is on glossy or matte paper, they try to focus on the important thing... If the relationship is real or not. Good luck on your case.
