My fianc had her medical exam and found a very small spot after 3 chest xrays. They require a sputum test for tuberculosis (TB) which will take 8-10 weeks for results. This has been a common requirement in Vietnam with even the slightest spot, even though the vast majority of tests are negative. Her interview appointment with Consulate is scheduled in 1 week. Can anyone provide advice how to proceed? Can she still go to the visa interview without the medical exam results since the sputum test will take so long? Its been a nightmare getting the interview scheduled. Anyone else experienced something Ike this and can share their experience?

Hello everyone, My wife and I are planning a short weekend trip to Canada. It will be 3 days and we will be back in the US. My wife's green card will be expiring in July and our weekend trip is end of this month. Will she be able to leave and reenter the US with her green card expiring in 3 months? Her passport is fine since it will not expire until 7 more years.

My wife would like her parents to visit us in the U.S. for 3-4 weeks this coming September-October. They would stay with us the entire visit. They are both in their 60s and retired. They own their home and income is derived from military pensions. They have bank accounts, but no strong bank ties like savings or loans. All family - except my wife - live in Vietnam, including 2 of 4 adult children who still live with them. Does anyone have any experience with their Vietnamese parents getting tourist visas? Suggestions or recommendations of types of documents they should bring to their interview in Hanoi? Thanks - Jason
