US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hi,

We recently had our I-130 approved (17/1/21), and cash number etc. assigned. We are not looking to move to the states until November/December time of this year, due to some family circumstances. How long can I delay submitting the AOS and civil documents? Does anyone have a rough turnaround from submitting application to having interview (assuming application is correctly complete)? And last question, is the six month expiry of visa from date approved or from date of medical?

Hi Everyone,

Finally got my husband's i-751 packet ready and sent off 02/22/2021. We had it tracked and it showed delivered on 02/25/2021. We haven't heard anything yet and the check hasn't been cashed as of today. His initial green card one got cashed pretty quickly and we received his NOA fairly quick as well. I'm sure Covid has slowed everything down just curious how the timeline has been going for this one for others that have filed close to us OR could you all direct me to a post for fellow February 2021 filers of the i-751?

interview set for March 23.
Knightsbridge called, reported irregularities on chest X-ray, and now she needs sputum cultures, which take 6-8 weeks to come back. They suggested to go ahead with the interview, and they ll send the results once back.
Should we go ahead with the interview as suggested, or try to find a later appointment? With how busy the embassy has been, I m thinking go ahead with the interview.

Hi everyone, so I arrived in the US on my K1 visa almost 3 weeks ago and I am trying to get my SSN, I have called the local social security office and I have been told that in order to get a number I need proof of my authorization to work or a job offer, as their chart shows that k1s are eligible to work. I know I can t work on a k1 without the EAD but that can take months to get especially with COVID backlogs at uscis. How have others got their SSN? Is it just a case of my local office not knowing what they are doing? Does anybody have any advice? Thanks

Hi everyone,

my fianc (the petitioner) had received a text saying USCIS: your case was received. Official Receipt Notice (Form I-1797) to follow in Mail. and gave us a receipt number. It s been 7 days since the text and we have not received any mail or email, how long does it take to receive form I-1797? Also I ve entered our receipt number in the status checker and it says that the number is not recognised. Anyone know why that is?
