Hello All, For the affidavit of support down the road, I may need a co-signer but for now my income is on the edge. I'm finding conflicting info if it's possible to waive the I-130 filing fees (my wife and child). I thought I read 'This fee cannot be waived' but further reading is confusing. I reviewed the 912 and it doesn't specify any restrictions. I greatly appreciate any help. I'm very early in the process. We're ready to file but having to fly back/forth each month or so has crippled finances. Thank you!

Hello All, I am very early in the i-130 process. I'm trying to determine all the documents needed and how they should be. Couple questions: Do the birth certificates need an Apostle? Do translations need notarized? Does child custody agreement need notarized out just translated? Thank you so much

Hello all ! My husband has finally had his N-400 interview scheduled. However, he has his I-751 still pending (status shows "Fingerprints were taken"). That status came up as soon as we applied for N400 under the 3 year rule (K1 visa). The letter he received regarding his N-400 interview doesn't mention anything about this interview being a combo interview, and I am not sure if I am supposed to be coming with him ? Or if I should ring any additional documents just in case it IS a combo interview ? Not really sure how to proceed, should I call USCIS and ask if the I-751 is is outdated ? Interview is in NJ, in newly built Cranbury office. Thank you !

My step-daughter's visa shows a 10 year expiration date. I think it should be two years. Marriage date: 8/18/2020 I-130 Sent for wife and step-daughter: 9/14/2020 Wife approved and entered US: 8/11/2021 Visa expires: 8/11/2023 Step-daughter approved a few months later and entered US: 2/9/2022 Visa expires: 2/9/2032 She entered less than 2 years after the marriage, so from my understanding, her Visa should expire on 2/9/2024.

Asking for people that have firsthand experience with this. My wife got naturalized on Monday and got her passport yesterday. She did have a question and I am sure others have experienced this. Her Ukrainian passport is under her maiden name (and its a huge pain to switch it and would prefer not to because she owns two properties in Ukraine and doesn't want to have to change all of that paperwork) She had a friend who had an identical situation (Ukraine passport - Maiden Name; US Passport - Married Name) and entered Ukraine under her American passport b/c the ticket was booked under her married name. Her friend joked and said yeah I guess I could only stay 90 days because I technically entered as a tourist. How have others dealt with this situation in the past?
