Hi guys, I really need your advice. I'm currently waiting for my work authorization and adjustment of status petitions, I filed both of them in May, there was barely any progress on both cases. We moved to a different town in July, changed the address straight away, even got the CONFORMATION that it has been changed. In the end of September I suddenly get a message that i missed my biometrics appointment, and the notice has been returned back to USCIS because USPS "could not deliver it". I obviously called USCIS right after, I've been told that the address has not been changed at all and that I have to do it all over again in order to get my bio rescheduled. I did change it, with a conformation on the phone, after that I've been promised by several different USCIS representatives that I will be given a new biometrics date within a month. So, I did everything right on my part, but they still messed it up, and now I have to deal with this. I'm waiting for that reschedule since September. I call them like 10 times a month, constantly asking what the hell is going on, I always get the same response - "you have to wait for 30 days in order for us to schedule it. Can't help you right now, you have to wait" I really don't know what to do. I cannot get my biometrics rescheduled since the end of September, and every single time i call USCIS they basically tell me to piss off. Have any of you guys had the same problem before? Is it even possible that I will get it rescheduled eventually or do I have to hire a lawyer or something to make these idiots do their job?

Given current ROC processing time, if my interview for citizenship is before ROC is approved, can I still take the oath and become citizen? Thank you.

This site was incredibly useful for us 15-ish years ago as we got married and she came to the USA. I've done the career thing and will soon retire. What's good for the goose (living in the USA during my career) is good for the gander (returning to Russia when not constrained by work to live in the States). So we're looking at a return this year or the next or surely the one after that. Starting to plan, that is. I'm wondering if there are others here who've come this far in the journey and getting ready for an adventure like we face? We've lots of practical questions, often the reverse of those often asked here. Cheers!

My son received his US immigration visa about a month ago. He decided to return to Russia to wrap up several things going on in his life then travel to the US in March. Now it appears he wants to marry his girlfriend. Has anyone heard of a situation like this? I'm not sure what to tell him, can he get married in Russia then fly to the US by himself with the idea of bringing her over later? Would it be better for them to wait until he gets settled in the US? Any ideas or information would be helpful. Thanks!

I became aware of something that I believe may constitute an immigration fraud. My acquaintance, a Ukrainian woman, got married to a citizen of Israel in 2018. The marriage was registered in Cyprus. The marriage lasted only few months, the couple resided in Israel. After breaking up, the wife moved back to her country. The Israeli spouse filed for divorce and she was summoned to a court in Israel, to which she refused. At that time she argued that she did not inform her home country authorities of her marriage, thus she remained "unmarried" in Ukraine and did not need to go through the divorce procedures. In communication with friends she admitted that she tried to extort some "compensation" from the Israeli spouse in exchange to her appearance in a court. The husband rejected the claims and that's where their communication ceased. In 2020 the said lady met an American man on the Internet and visited him in the US. Then last summer she entered the country along with her minor child on B1/B2 visas with the intent to stay. I learned that they recently got married and plan to apply for AOS. When I confronted the lady regarding her previous marriage and whether she was going to disclose it in her I-485 application, she evaded and stopped communicating. I warned her that what she was doing considered illegal. I am not discussing the moral aspect of the story. I am not sure whether her US husband is aware of the previous marriage. I believe he may be not. Now I am facing a dilemma, do I have a legal/moral obligation to report her actions to USCIS? Please advise. P.S. Apologies if posting in a wrong forum.
