DS-160. Differently written names.

Greetings

I'm helping a married couple to file DS-160. I came across one difficulty that I'm afraid might be an issue if I do it incorrectly. I'd like to hear more experienced opinions.

A man has a passport (only one) from a country of his birth and where he lived until he moved to another country where he received a permanent residence document. His name in English in his passport is written differently than his name in English in all documents of the country where he lives now. He got married and his wife took his last name as it's spelled in the country where they live together. Here are my questions:

1. Do we need to include differently written husband's name in the "Other Names" field?

2. When we fill out the "Family" sections and include spouses' names do we have to write them the way they are written in the passports or according to the marriage certificate? I want to remind that the husband's name is written in the marriage certificate the way it is written in his permanent residence document and not as it is in his passport.

Thank you.

My Russian wife (IR1) and daughter (IR2) got an interview scheduled in Poland in mid April. We are trying to preparing the interview. One of the things to do is to register their visa delivery address. Since the interview is held in Poland, I need to register at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Poland but it keeps taking me into Russian site indicating "Apply US Visa in Russia" instead of "Apply US Visa in Poland" at the top. I do not know if it is because my wife made a profile to apply US tourist visa in Russia before or simply her nationality is Russia and take her to Russian site as default. When I try to choose the delivery address at "New Application / Schedule Appointment" --> "Visa Type" (Immigrant Visa) --> it only has a choice of Moscow at "Post" instead of Warsaw. If I keep going to "Personal Data" to enter delivery address, it says enter Russian address only.

What did anyone who is Russian who already had an account in https://cgifederal.secure.force.com but whose case was transferred to Poland, do to register delivery address in Poland?

Also, is MBE pick up address in Warsaw the following?:

Mail Boxes Etc. Warsaw
ul. Wiertnicza 115,

Warszawa, Poland

The U.S. State Department has provided guidance to U.S. citizens who are eligible to locally file Form I-130 petitions for Afghan, Ethiopian and Ukrainian immediate relatives.

Key Points:

  • U.S. citizens who are physically present overseas with their Afghan, Ethiopian or Ukrainian immediate family members and have not filed an immigrant visa petition with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) can request to file a Form I-130 petition locally at the closest U.S. embassy or consulate that is currently processing immigrant visas.

Hello!

Me and my fianc e applied for K1 visa in March last year, still waiting.

I know that the topic of work after applying for status adjustment and waiting for work permit has been asked here many times but I would like to hear about people s more recent experiences (last 2 years).

I can keep my work as a freelancer in my non-USA company (no connections to USA), receive salary out of USA (do not use it until I get the permit). As far as I understood in terms of law it is very `grey area`, right?

Would like to hear people`s recent stories and experience.

I am a US citizen married to a Russian citizen. Together we have 1 biological daughter and she has two Russian citizen sons. Our I-130 petition was just approved in USCIS and now has moved to NVC. We are in Russia waiting on the process to finish but with the current situation it is not safe for us to continue to wait here in Russia. What will be the situation if we travel to the US Mexico border and ask for political asylum?
