US Immigration from Russia

Hi. I ve attempted to avail myself of the Ask a lawyer feature on the forum, but it just seems to not be working. I m just being redirected to a page that schematically lists certain steps of the process but there are no forms or buttons that I could interact with. Could somebody give me some clear instruction on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi. In short, in two years time I m projecting that the visa bulletin queue will at last reach my date for filing. I m in the process of reuniting with my father (the sponsor). The thing is, he has had a benign form of multiple sclerosis since his late teens, and as of late, the lesion has started to show some signs of progression. Some doctors say that he could reach a state of partial or even, god forbid, complete disability. He has never worked in the US since he came to the country 5 years ago, and I ve been covering all his expenses including medical insurance. I m basically relying on cash assets on his bank account (circa 150 000 dollars) and my personal assets (mix of cash and property) in order to meet the affidavit of support reqs. If by the time of my interview he would have already become disabled, then how would it impact the CO s evaluation of my case, given that I would basically have to spend all my cash savings and may be even sell the property in my home country in order to pay for his stay in the nursing home. On top of that, I also won t be able to work in the US right off the bat because I m a medical professional, and thus, will have to undergo a licensing program. This all seems so daunting. I m seriously considering bringing him back to our home country pre-emptively and just forget about all of this.

I just received an email saying our location changed from Russia to Kazakhstan which I asked 10 days ago, not sure how things go in Kazakhstan

I am confused by the posts and have some questions.

1. I got my NVC case number, and I heard next available interviews dates you can choose is November in Warsaw embassy, Is this true? If so I d like to meet one more time in summer.

2. To see the schedule calendar I suppose it needs the DS160 form filled and fee paid, I started filling the DS160 and my fianc e has two kids and I suppose to fill 3 DS 160 forms and pay 3 person separately?

3. But when I called rapid visa, they said I should wait for my case arrive in Warsaw embassy and I then fill the form, but wait another month could push the available interviews dates to December? Can I just finish the DS160 form and then schedule the interview date right now? If I finished the form and paid today and I can have access to the schedule calendar?

I just called NVC and discussed the situation with Poland stopped issuing any visas to Russian and called for all EU countries to do the same, the staff said I can change a interview location, which one is good? Istanbul? Armenia? Or Kazakhstan?
