I am a USC petitioning for my Filipina wife from overseas. We got an I-130 petition approved through direct consular filing back in 2018 but I decided to stay in the Philippines for a few years and enjoy the cheap life, so we let it expire. Now we are petitioning again from overseas (direct filing is no longer an option in the Philippines) and I'm wondering how a former approval looks in the application. Does it make the case stronger that USCIS has already deemed us to be a bonafide couple (we also have tons of strong evidence) or do they not like that we let the approval lapse?

I read that each country views applications differently culturally. My spouse is from the Philippines. There is a There is an 20 year There is an age gap: My wife is 45, and I m 65. Our CR-1/ I-130 application has been pending for over one year now. We hope to get NOA 2 approval in December 2024. The Philippine consulate seems to have a backlog, and they re taking almost another year to get an end interview. We ve been married for almost two years now. What is the likelihood of her getting a B-2 Visa to visit the USA while the CR-1 application is pending?

Hello All, any advice on my dad situation; He is 78 years of age and just had an interview last week, submitted the form N-648 accepted and approved by the officer. Before the interview officer mentioned that the N-648 got approved but my Dad still needs to do the reading part and writing. My dad can able to read but barely. Unfortunately when the officer told him to write, he can't write the word clearly. I was surprise that he can't write, probably because of his medical condition, he had a history of stroke years ago. He don't understand English at all, he used to understand and at-least can communicate but now is just zero understanding on English language. (The doctor only check the part for the civic question and not the speak and writing in English.) The officer then told him to wait for another interview notice to challenge just the writing part. I posted, this already on Reddit and one told me to post here. -reddit people told me to have my dad doctor corrected the N-648 and check the civic part, writing and speaking in English. -on part 4. Ability to understand Oath of Allegiance, should the doctor answer yes or no. ( I can explain Oath of allegiance to my dad)

Hello.. Was just wondering if anyone can guide me about the timeframe... In my passport the IO officer has written until jan 1 to my visa... however due to planning and availability.. our wedding will be around Dec 20... then we will submit the papers after. Will I have enough time? Other says I have, as it will depend on the submission date? But i just wanted to make sure, i do not want any complications to my adjustment of status.

My sons are 9 and 11. On November 1st, the 11 year old got an email from NVC saying his expedited request was approves for posting, but that was it. We never requested an expedite. Nothing else, so we waited. Then on November 28th, the 9 year old got an interview letter for January. Still waitng for the letter for the 11 year old. What should I do? Thank you!
