I am in a dilemma whether to update my record in my home country- from single to married or not.

I read a few articles that if I want to use my husband s name in my passport, then I should report my marriage here in the US in a Philippine Consulate. The thing is I have no plans of renewing my passport and just wait for my naturalization and apply for US passport.

Now, I need to execute a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) in the Philippines. I am single in the Philippines since I have not updated/reported my marriage. I will have the SPA notarized and request for apostille here in the US. Should I be using my maiden name in the SPA since the SPA will be used in the Philippines?

I would highly appreciate any response.

Yesterday I left Manila to CA, USA to visit my Fiancee on a tourist visa. Our K1/K2 petition is approved but it is still stuck at NVC.

We decided that I am gonna visit my Fiancee since it's hard for foreigners to visit the PH right now.

Here is my experience:

Flight is Korean Air with a 12 hours layover at Incheon (I got free tickets cause of Mileage Accural )

Manila:

Documents asked were Passport, travel tax receipt, flight itinerary, RTPCR negative test results (Red Cross) and travel insurance (Trawick). Check-in was smooth, they only asked me to fill-up Declaration form and a Travel attestment form (one for the airline and another you'll give to the Immigration Officer). Also they had me signed the LAX travel form online.

Nothing was asked by the Immigration Officer, it was quite smooth actually. The IO just asked for my Passport, boarding pass, return booking itinerary and travel insurance and that was it.

Now I am at Incheon Airport waiting for my Transfer. It's surprising how empty this place is right now. Will update you guys once I get to LAX.
