Hi,

Is the CFO sticker visa specific?

Meaning if wife did cfo seminar for k1 left Philippines with that sticker, and is now leaving Philippines again with Ir1 visa.

Does she need to take cfo seminar again for a new sticker?

We were just going to try and do it again to be safe. But now im thinking with my luck it will cause some random issue.haha

Especially now because its online and they get a printable certificate and mail a sticker. (In which she has already a sticker in her passport from the k1)

Thanks,

Dennis

U.S. citizens who wish to marry in the Philippines are no longer required to have their affidavits notarized at the Embassy or Consular Agency.

Instead, you may have the affidavit notarized locally in the Philippines.

April 6, 2021

Effective immediately, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), pursuant to recently issued Memorandum Circular No. 2021-004, will allow local notarization in the Philippines of the Affidavit of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage.

As a result, U.S. citizens who wish to marry in the Philippines are no longer required to have their affidavits notarized at the Embassy or Consular Agency. Instead, you may have the affidavit notarized locally in the Philippines. We encourage U.S. citizens to have these affidavits notarized locally, as appointments for consular services remain limited at the Embassy and Consular Agency due to the ongoing pandemic.

Please visit the PSA website or inquire with the Local Civil Registry Office where you plan to be married for more information.

For more information on notary services, please see our website.

April 2021 I-751 Filer

Woohoo...joining the thousands who are sending in their removal of conditions this month. It was a nice break to not have to mess with USCIS.

I am filing for the wife. I don't remember exactly what I send it, but it was plentiful.

Question, if you are married for 3 years, the immigrant spouse can file for citizenship correct? If so, is it good to file while the I 751 is still pending?

Air Courier to send docs USA to Philippines for 221g

We got a 221g requesting resubmission of original documents. Husband has some of the documents in Cebu, while I have the rest here in Florida.

There is no LBC courier currently offering Air Freight within a 14 hour drive from me. So I was thinking about sending via Global Express USPS (3 days to Cebu City)... BUT... I'm concerned about the incomplete address and getting lost along the way. Address is xx compound, xx district, cebu city. No building number, no street name.

We've had good luck with LBC, but other couriers seem reluctant to send without a building number and street name.

Seems like I might a few choices.

1. USPS Global Priority- and hope that they're cool with no building #/ street name ..

2. Fedex overnight to relative in USA, then send by LBC Air Freight. Last time I sent documents, they told me 2 weeks air freight, actual time was 6 weeks.

3. Send my documents direct to Embassy (?), while he submits by 2GO in separate packages (?) -- but that might confuse the Embassy, adding delays.

Are there any other choices?...Fastest possible, because we're in a time crunch before Medical expires, and we're anticipating long processing at Embassy...

What should I do?

Has anyone gone through this? Our PD for 485 is 2/4/20 still no interview scheduled, Minneapolis office. I called USCIS and when I enter receipt number is says they cannot give a status update on the case through the automated system. Why?? We have never had issues with any of our paperwork and never any RFE s. All the website says is ready to be scheduled for interview as of March 26, 2020. I know Minneapolis field office is slow, but I see people on here with PD of late April s having interviews in Minneapolis. So frustrating!!
