Hello everyone, I'm helping a friend and badly needed your help too. She's just waiting for the interview for removal of conditional residency. Her green card extension letter ( 18months extension) expired last month. She was able to get an info pass and got a stamp on her passport. So the problem is, her employer wants her to produce another extension letter. The company doesn't accept that stamp on her passport. My friend called the USCIS and said that they will not issue another extension letter. Has anyone had similar case? She really needed that job, she was not fired to her job but can't report to work until she produce that extension letter or the Green card. Thanks in advance.

Urgent Help~~Stopped Cancer Treatment MIL overstay

I need advice badly, In 2019 My wife got diagnosed with Stage 4 BC. We got a visa for her mom to come and help.(We have a small child 1yo at that time, i was working) Before the 6 month mark we applied to extend it. We thought everything was going Ok but when they sent the NOA to my post office they just returned it cause it was in my MIL name, at which point it was denied and we never knew. Last year the cancer traveled to her brain at which point we applied for my MIL to come again we were denied because of overstay of 6 months plus 2 days(100% my fault, i miscounted 2 days) That was last October, 2 weeks ago she had a doctors appointment they told us that treatment was no longer working, go home and enjoy your time with your husband and child. i want to bring my MIL back so we can have my wife home as long as possible instead of a drawn out hospice stay, and loving both of them i really would like to give them closure when the time comes. OMG i can't imagine how our soon to be 4yo is going cope with such a loss. My MIL could hopefully help with her pain also.

With the denied being almost a year old, do we need to try to open a new visa?

is it also counted as tourist visa or is there another visa to apply for?

God forgive me, but i don't know what to do here and really need help, Thank you in adanvce

So as of this morning, Oct 5 Manila time, my wife and stepdaughter attended thier interview at US Embassy Manila. We are very cognitive of the importance of "visa in hand" and will reserve final celebration until that is the case, but the interview went well and they are verbally approved by the US Consul. She had nothing but nice things to say about the Embassy staff and the Consul. She felt there was a high level of professionalism there. She went in highly stressed and came out really feeling positive about the experience.

Oh, and then driving home MMDA traffic enforcers extorted P2k from her over some sort of lane violation. ;-). Got to love the Philippines. I'm thinking if I was there I could have got that bribe down to P500 but I told her don't even sweat the P2k. It's a good day
