How should I handle my wife unofficially changing her last name before immigration? |

I married my Filipina wife through Utah Zoom marriage in Dec 2021. She has not legally changed her name yet, but she is planning to take my last name once the whole immigration process has been done. However, she is already using my last name on her social media accounts. The I-130 form has a section for "other names used", including aliases and nicknames. In that "other names" section, I'm thinking of using her nickname as her first name (which she has already been using for a long time now), for her middle name I will enter her maiden name, and for her last name I will enter my last name. I can then add an explanation in the "additional information" section on the last page, and say that she has not legally changed her name yet but will do so once she is in the United States. Does this seem like a good way to go? Or could there be problems with doing this. Thanks

It s been a long road having filed in July 2019 for both in laws. We finally grabbed interview dates in late January, however both parents popped for Sputum and we had to cancel the interview. MIL got the dreaded call one month into the Sputum culture and has been doing the daily commute to SLEC for treatment. Thankfully the FIL passed the culture test and we were lucky to find an April 7th interview date. Hopefully all goes well and we can get through that as well as CFO PDOS and have him here sometime in May. Good luck to everyone waiting. It s been a long journey but it does now seem to have an end!

Hi, So I went in on a clinic last week brought all requirements and the I-693 form. However, when I got there they said they didn't need my form and instead asked for my A Number on a sign up sheet. The front desk lady said they will print the form for me. So ever since, it has bothered me because I read well and clear on the USCIS guide that I need to bring the I-693 and sign it in front of the doctor and there are pages where the clinic will fill out and seal. Should I come back to the clinic and clarify this with them? My results are ready.

This is regarding the k1 interview for the Manila embassy. My fiancee accidentally left the actual mrv fee receipt in her province. She did send me a few pictures of the actual receipt after she paid the visa fee. Does she only need the number from the receipt or does she have to bring the physical receipt to her interview with her? I have read where the number is needed to schedule the interview which I did a few weeks but there is nothing that states that the actual physical receipt is needed. I do have pictures of it. I don't think she needs the physical copy just the number but I want to be sure for the Manila embassy.
