I agree. It seems that when they look at your file, they look at everything that's there, whether it was in the original submission or subsequent uploads. That said, it does appear that it you get an RFE your case goes to the bottom of the pile and you will wait whatever the current processing time is before it gets looked at again. We got RFE'd for better copies of civil documents. I tried everything, but the actual documents are the issue. No way to fix that. I did a 600 x 600 B & W scan and sent that in. That one looked much better to me. The docs are on colored paper, but the color scans at anything better than 400 X 400 are too large, even after compression. There are varying opinions on whether they will accept the B & W scans. If anyone has any ideas, all help is welcome. Be safe.

We have the same problem about a civil document being not really clear from the Philippines. I ve just submitted the I-130 paperwork s couple of months ago, but used an inky birth certificate for my stepson. I ve since gotten a clearer copy that took my wife a couple of months to get back from PSA. Does anyone know if it s best to submit that after the fact of my online submission and if it will be seen before they issue an RFE? I think there is a place, (I believe) to add to my file on the USCiS site. My approximate date for review is next February, as shown here on VJ.

Another issue we have is I made the mistake of not changing my wife s name when we married online, while now the ROM paperwork is in the process of being mailed to Philippines from consulate and we want to change her name before getting too far in this process, does anyone think that would be a problem? Thanks

My filipina fiancee coming to US next weekend

I will try not to make this very long if I can help it. My filipina fiancee has her cfo certificate and I have her flights scheduled for next Saturday night from the Philippines to where I live now. She is scheduled to arrive June 19th around 6 in the evening. The main reason I'm on here now is I'm wondering how she should answer whatever questions the cbp officer will ask of her. She will be arriving in Hartsfield Jackson international airport in Atlanta on June 19th around 10am. I'm sure she will be asked what her purpose is for coming to the US. The obvious reason of course is to be United in marriage with me on her k1 visa. I guess she can just say it like that because it is not wrong answer or however she wants to say it. She will probably be asked what my address is and maybe what my occupation is. I am wondering if the cbp officer will ask her to list some facts about the state I live in. I haven't talked to her much about that and I'm wondering if I should tell her some things just to make sure she is ready. I'm hoping someone can share some tips with me.

I know this used to be nearly impossible but just thought I would check. I just filed the k-1 petition and was thinking it would be great to get my fiance over here for a visit with no intent on her staying here, with her returning to the Philippines as we await the at least one year process. Is this possible these days? Just checking...

Hi guys,

My friend just married his husband from the Philippines and about to file for I-130, they did the Utah marriage. Since same sex marriage is not recognized in the Philippines then does the husband just need to do PDOS?

My wife's 3 year date is Oct 31, 2022. The filing calculator for early application is August 2, 2022. She visited the Philippines from March 20 to April 20, 2022. Does this in any way affect the date she can submit the N400? Thanks as always....B.
