US Immigration from Philippines

Hi not sure if there s already a topic here for July 2022 I-130 Filers.

My husband got a text notif that USCIS received our forms (CR1) on July 20, still waiting for the letter in the mail though. How long does it usually take to get in the mail?

It s been only a few days but the anxiety is real

We tried changing my wife's name on her Philippine passport (to her married name) last year in Chicago and did not have the right ROM documentation. She renewed it in her maiden name as it was expiring.

We are flying to the Philippines for two weeks next month. Does it make sense to try to get the name change done there or fly back to Chicago sometime in the future? The airline ticket is in her maiden name, of course.

Anyone recently filed under CR-1 category with step-child, did you have to fill out a separate I-130 for each child? I m not talking about IR-1 as that would be married for 2 yrs or more.

My wife is from the Philippines, and has a police clearance which she can renew with the NBI. It has her married name on it, but has an older address. The NBI told us it's no problem to renew with the old address, but will the NVC accept it? The address listed is one of the addresses we put on the DS-260 as a previous address, and the police clearance would be valid and unexpired, just not with the current address.

I tried emailing NVC last week, but seems any reply is a long time coming.
