US Immigration from Philippines

The interview was scheduled for July 5. We received an email from the NVC.

We created an account on the CGI Customer Portal to add a delivery address for the applicant. After doing so, we saw that no interview date was listed as scheduled. I decided to click "Schedule an interview" and found a date of July 27 available once classifying it as IR2. Is this legit? I was surprised that it allowed us to do that. The only information it asked for was the passport info, priority date, and case id #, but not the invoice ID #.

We were notified today that the NVC has rejected the PSA Birth and Marriage Certificates and has requested better copies. I rescanned the originals and resubmitted them, but they don't appear noticeably better then the first round. Has anyone experienced this. They are what they are. Is there a work around for this? It was 77 days from the creation of our case to their review if anyone is counting days. Thanks, David

I have a question, I filed my removal of conditions last year and had my biometrics last Nov 2021. Till now I havnt receive my 10year greencard. Here is my question, Can I file citizenship now tho I havnt received my 10year green card? I got married last Sept 2018 and Im not sure if I can file citzenship now.

Hi! My parents are having their IR5 interview schedule in the Philippine embassy this week. We submitted their ds260 back in 2020 for this interview, do we have to create another ds260? Thank you.

Hello everyone. I don't remember how this works. Any info is much appreciated.

My fiancee just got her K1 visa, CFO completed, and we are flying together on June 5. Manila to Tokyo to LA to Sacramento. So the first point of entry will be at LAX, with plenty of time to make our connecting flight to Sacramento.

Last time I visited the Philippines in 2019, I'm pretty sure my checked luggage went all the way through to Sacramento when I returned. I'm reading some general information that a non-citizen has to get their luggage before going through Customs/Immigration. So how does this work for us?

We land together at LAX, and my fiancee's checked luggage will be on the carousel at baggage claim? She picks up her luggage, goes through Customs/Immigration, then re-checks her luggage with the airline? What about my luggage, will that still go all the way to Sacramento? Does the initial check-in airline somehow designate my fiancee's luggage differently than mine, based on her US immigrant status?
